Re: The Brandon Weeden Thread

Maybe, but QBs have a bigger part in wins than any other position.

That's largely debatable.

QB's are a part of the team. QB's don't make tackles *well, okay they can but that's after something bad happening.* and QB's don't coach the game. I don't care about Qb's beating QB's.

So an average 29 year old QB is going to win us 11 games? I think not.

Re: The Brandon Weeden Thread

It's funny to think that everyone thought the 2010 QB draft class was one of the strongest in awhile and now 1 out of the top 4 drafted are with the same team considering McCoy gets dealt.

Re: The Brandon Weeden Thread

Weeden doesn't profile as a guy who's going to win you games, but one who won't necessarily lose them.

See: average

Is what it is, I'm not going to pretend he's something he's not because of the games he won in the Big 12, that's for sure.

Re: The Brandon Weeden Thread

Everyone seems to think we need to go out and draft a one of the 3 top wr left to give Weeden someone to throw too. I just dont agree. We need to go take the best RT to protect our QB. Its a chicken vs egg thing. Did our recieving corp suck so bad because they dont have talent? Or is the lack of arm strength and down field threat make them look bad? All I know is Peyton, Brees and Brady have all made late round wr's look like studs. Two things they all have in common. The ability to throw down field with accuracy and the time in the pocket to make the deep throws.

Weeden is the most accurae passer in the draft with the strongest arm. Draft a RT next not a WR. Rookie WR's seldom develop unless they have a stud QB throwing to them anyways.

Well I'm glad we already know he's an average QB, is not going to win his 11 games next year and he will never win a SB...

I'm glad I know his future now, thanks..

The thing that sucks about the Weeden pick is the dude is going to have so much pressure on him, probably about half of it unnecessarily though... Part of it is because people, like you, will never give him a chance...

Re: The Brandon Weeden Thread

Heckert had Weeden at 13 on his big board. If that doesn't speak volumes about Weeden, then i don't know what does.

I love the Weeden pick immensely and believe that he'll be a fine quarterback, but I'm not sure if I would have rated him that high.. Where did you read that Heckert had him rated 13th on his board?

You're talking out of your ass now. Weeden isn't a guy who can win you games, that makes him average. But QBs don't win you games, teams do.

I think there's a chance we can come out with both.

Re: The Brandon Weeden Thread

Okay, since I gotta support Weeden because of the name on the FRONT of the jersey, then fuck.

I HAVE TO RESPECT GINGERS.

THAT'S IT.

WEEDEN'S GINGER POWER WILL LEAD US TO THE PROMISED LAND. IT ALL MAKES SENSE!

We fuckin better. I want Adams/Massie and Hill... I'd even be happy with Randle but I want someone who can stretch the field. If this happens, the football gods would have granted Cleveland a GEM and I mean and ABSOLUTE GEM of a draft, even if we drafted a 29 year old QB... fuck.
