Chip Kelly was such an overrated candidate. Bottom line, college to pros is an entirely different game that barely ever pans out well. Chip Kelly was a big name, but that doesn't necessarily mean the right guy.

Ken Whisenhunt. Please hire him before someone else does. I'll be more than thrilled to grab him.

i would say this is going to really put off a lot of teams for kelly going forward if he wants to jump to the NFL. he has now had 3 teams in the NFL offer him a huge amount of money, and each time he has gone back and said no. he may still get chased but not nearly what he has been, and other college coaches are going to start jumping him

It wasn't just Peyton Manning.

-He gave Kyle Orton his career year.

-He completely revamped his offense after the season had started to accomodate Tebow, and they rode everything they could out of him to a huge upset playoff victory over Pittsburgh

-He also completely revamped his offense from Tim Tebow to Peyton Manning, 2 completely polar opposite QB's, and they have a Top 5 offense & the best record in the AFC.

He completely changed his schemes to fit his personnel and Denver has reaped the benefits from it.

Me too...
He did well when he first took the job. His GM didn't do him any favors with a qb, offensive line, or running game after they went to the super bowl. He is the guy I want.

I don't know how much say he had in personnel, and I really don't care. No one picks them all right. Even Belichick has drafted a lot of duds. A coach is only as good as his QB these days, and since Warner, the position has been dreadful. Not to mention an awful line, maybe the worst in all of football. Their line was really sad. No great coach could win with that.

The guy can coach. Only coach to have ever taken the Cards to a SB. Why couldn't he here? Just about everything is set on offense, we just need a QB. Defense is a few key positions away from being great. Whisenhunt would turn this thing around.

Whisenhunt would be a solid hire. I'm not convinced he was the reason the Cardinals have been terrible lately. In fact, they got off to a good start this year. I just think the whole team came to realization that they couldn't win with John Skelton at QB. I really don't want to have to completely redesign our front 7 though. That is actually our strongest asset minus an impact OLB.

Nothing wrong with going 3-4. Our 4-3 defense was pretty bad last year and actually took a step back. Either way it needs multiple personal upgrades.

I'm on board the Whisenhunt train. He was a really good coach in Arizona, he put his team in the right position that superbowl season. Should they have been there? They had good talent including captain Kurt. But they should of won... People who complain about him are just complainers period.

He had some awful QB play, worse than us.

This year he benched Skelton for Lindey up 13 on the last undefeated team in the league. Even Shurmur wouldnt pull a stunt like that.

I understand this but I feel the weakest part of our defense was often our secondary and not our front seven.
