Browns hire Rob Chudzinski

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Derek Anderson is probably the worst quarterback I have ever seen, and he somehow was worse in Arizona. I would much rather have Thad Lewis be the backup because Derek Anderson has had plenty of opportunities, and all he does is show that he gives you know chance to win games. The fact that Weeden is compared to this guy says a lot about Weeden as well, not good for him.

Dude was on our team when we got ten wins and he went to the Pro Bowl. There hasn't been another QB on this team in like twenty-five years who has won that many games wearing orange and borwn.

Then you ain't been around too long then. DA is nowhere near the worst QB I have ever seen(and I'm not some DA apologist, either). The list of QB's who are worse could go into the triple digits.

I'd like to see you try and name 10 worse. His year in 09 was beyond brutal. I don't think I have seen a Browns qb play worse.

Let's bring Braylon back too. He left town saying everyone here hated him because he went to Michigan.

He beat no teams with a winning record and was like a third alternate to the Pro Bowl.

Let's not go crazy.

He took advantage of a situation where they had an easy schedule and the league hadn't adjusted to his strong arm. Once teams started taking away the deep ball and bringing more pressure, he was never able to adjust and now his confidence is gone as well.

He's just not very good.

I remember him throwing some of the hardest 5-yard crossing ROCKETS I had ever seen. :chuckles:

Memories...

Ken Dorsey, Bruce Gradkowski, Charlie Frye, Spergon Wynn, Doug Pederson, Luke McCown, Ty Detmer, Brady Quinn, Tim Couch, Kelly Holcomb.... That's just the Browns.

I don't want DA, but lets relax with the hyperbole. It is your go-to.

Couch is the only guy who I can make a case for on that list, but we all knew you were right anyway.

Still doesn't make DA very good, or even mediocre.

All of those guys are right in DA's wheelhouse, an argument could easily be made his play after 07 was just as bad or worse than most of those guys. I don't think you truly appreciate how bad his years after 07 were. But I am totally on board with bringing DA back for some possible epic laughs.

Not going to argue DA was a good qb, but it would be easy to fine 10 worse qb's. It is a waste of time to start naming names, but many qb's have looked much worse.

Most of those guys didn't have a year like DA in 2007...even if it was a complete aberration.

Lets all agree it was a dumb hyperbolic comment and move on.

Let's not rewrite history here. Anderson took advantage of a bad schedule, 8-Ball's only good year in Cleveland, Braylon actually being able to catch, Jurevicious, and Winslow. He was really inaccurate even when he was good, his receivers just managed to catch everything. Anderception is also responsible for the loss to the Bengals at the end of the year which knocked us out of the playoff hunt. He then went on to be atrocious the next season.

That 10 win team won on the shoulders of the offense who made DA look decent.

I don't agree at all. Yes DA was effective in 07. But in the next 3 years he was just as bad as anyone else mentioned in here. Go check the stats. Its funny Brady Quinn was mentioned because their play was so equally bad, it was nearly impossible to differentiate between them.

On second thought, I DO NOT know why I thanked you for this post. I hate you for bringing up the memories of these putrid QBs. So I officially revoke one "thanks" I gave you. Everytime you check your "Thanks" total, please subtract "1" from your total. Did I say I hate you yet?
