The Quarterback prospect thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Because normally rookies shouldn't start from game one and no one wants to go into the season as Weeden as the starter.

That's just not the case these days.

Sounds like he's got moxie coming from his pores.

get Bridge or Bortles at 4...take jordan matthews at 26...get a corner in the second round and address the o line in the 3rd round

If we like Bridgewater at all, we have to be pretty pleased he didn't "wow" at his pro day.

From what I saw, he was solid. Given our offensive weapons, it's a great environment for a young QB.

I would be absolutely ecstatic if Clowney just destroys his pro-day workout. That likely pushes either Bortles or TB to us, which would be the dream scenario for me.

Snag one of the top QB's without flushing any assets and fill in holes with our remaining picks.

This is thinking like a GM! Generally, people want to see their projected draft picks just be perfect, then somehow fall to our spot at 4. It often doesn't work like that. I think you have the right idea: hope that poor showings of the QBs allow for us to draft one of them at #4. I really don't want us to trade up, and I am totes on board with your rationale. Let's hope the chips fall where we want and we submit our draft pick in nanoseconds for the QB we have been waiting for.

On that note, even a serviceable QB makes next year a fun year, meaning if we start out camp with a highly touted rookie and our recovering hero Hoyer, we should be set up for some competitive football. I think they battle it out in camp, let Farmer decide who starts, and then go from there. The key is drafting that blue-chipper, so let's keep our fingers crossed and make it happen. The draft couldn't come soon enough.

While I trust Mayock over any other NFL draft expert. He did say Jamarcus Russell was the best pro-day he's ever seen.

He wasn't the only one who was impressed with Russell.

I think that says less about Mayock's trustworthiness and more about how little stock you should put into a pro day..

I should've continued what I was saying and yes I agree that pro days should be taken with a grain of salt. Tebow missed maybe 1 throw at his. Guys are using their WRs so they have rhythm already with them so they are expected to hit all the throws.

I'm just going to hope that they don't care for pro days...I sure hope the real reason isn't because they don't care for Bridgewater.

Such a mind fuck.

Do they just not care for pro days?
Do they know a team ahead of us is going to take him?
Do they have him graded out as a late first-round or later pick?
Did they forget about his pro day?
Do they just plain not want him?
Have they already decided that if he's there at 4, they're going to pick him?

Can't tell a damn thing.
