2014 Free Agency Period: News and Discussion

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Meh..told myself I wouldn't follow the Bron free agency but here I am..

This type of scenario wouldn't surprise me. Canzano has an excellent rep covering the Blazers (He's the anti The Bullshit Whisperer). Even LLoyd just said on 92.3 that Canzono has a Nike connection which is headquartered in Portland. Bosh would be underpaid in this scenario but does seem to really wants to stay with the Heat.. so it's plausible. I believe Bosh and Wade still share the same CAA agent so maybe they are a package deal. I dunno..

I'm guessing some team like Houston would love to give Bosh a max type contract but maybe he's one of those cats willing to take much less to stay in Miami.

His agent would seem to be losing some real $, as well.. Where the hell is he in all this?

He isn't making that money up easily in sponsorship either, I can't think of the last time I saw bosh in an ad.

Nothing anyone can do if Bosh is willing to take that kind of pay cut. $12 million is a lot of money when you are in that position. This will get them for the next year or two and it will all hit the wall in year 3 when LeBron is a FA.

That is some bullshit

How much more fucking talent do they need

So they are going to have roughly enough space to add one of Lowry, Gortat or Deng?

All of those players are going to get 10+ million this off season.

And that still makes Miami a better team?

Cleveland needs to go hard at Chandler Parsons.

I can live with a Kyrie/Wiggins/Parsons combo.

Be careful when you post tweets. If you don't include all of the code, it breaks vBulletin (and RCF threads).

These reported salaries in FA are crazy. As Lloyd tweeted there are too many teams with capspace. Looks like most of these guys outside Bosh are going to be wildly overpaid.
Hopefully Cavs take the smart angle and try to improve thru trades. I wouldn't mind to have Miles and Hawes back depending on the price.

Parsons helped recruit Dwight Howard to Houston last summer. That said, his strong preference is to stay with the Rockets, which means that he only leaves if the Rockets are able to land a bigger fish, like LeBron or Carmelo.
