I am not sure about that. Andy was not taking a whole lot of shots, and TT is a decent rebounder too. The reason Love's rebounds are down are because of two reasons. Lebron (and others) are great rebounders for the position, so its not just the center, and we have been using Love to space more than in Minny, so he isn't under the rim quite as much.

Not as much as you would think. 37.5% of his shots this year are coming from three point range. Last year, 35.5 percent of his shots came from beyond the arc. He is also shooting less three pointers per game this season.

It's not that the Cavs are using him a whole lot more to space the floor, it's that he is just not getting as many options in general with there being other legitimate scoring options on the floor.

Andy was taking an average of 7.7 shots per game, which is the third highest average of his career and the highest average as a teammate of LeBron's. Love should certainly see, at minimum, 2-3 more shot attempts per game in Andy's absence, if not more.

I bet Love will get 4-6 more points per game and 2-3 more rebounds a game when AV is out.

Lol and why should that make me feel better? All that I care about is efficiency (2&3pt fg%), defense, and hustle plays like offensive rebounds. Stats for the sake of stats doesn't do anything but help Love's own brand and wallet.

i'm beginning to see what some of you meant with bad body language.

Andy out and he still got ignored on offense even though the Heat didn't have anyone to guard him. He should have shot 10+ FTs in this. I also think his jammed thumb may have affected his shooting. He had some wide open looks and didn't make any of them.

On another note, for the life of me, I cannot figure out why we don't run pick and roll with Love. Baffling. Its almost as if we want to make it harder on ourselves.

Lastly, Birdman destroyed us inside and that falls on Love. James missed FTs and those ORebs won the Heat the game. Dion had more rebounds than Love.

At the start of the season I had legit discussions over whether or not Griffin or Love was the better PF. At this point that seems laughable.

I'm not saying Love isn't really good or that he is being used in the best way possible but he has been a disappointment thus far.

He gets his numbers somehow but his stats just seem empty to me. He doesn't make "winning plays." I would have much rather of had Tristan out there to finish

the game.

Again, I'm not saying he's bad but he has had nowhere near the impact that I thought he would so far.

We probably should remove "The Menace" from the thread title.

This man is soft and he disappears every 4th quarter, can't even make a shot late in the game.

He had this same issue in Minnesota.

I wish we had just made an effort to trade for Ryan Anderson and Kept Wiggins instead :(

Sure, Kevin Love is pretty good (on offense at least) even when he's not great. But we need him to flat-out dominate on offense in order to make up for the other flaws on this team (including his defense). He has seemed incapable of doing that. It's not a matter of people feeding him or not feeding him either, he is physically limited (small and can't jump) so he needs someone to draw bigger players off him.

LeBron and Kyrie have to get Love more involved during the first quarter. If you see most of the games he has done well this season, it has been usually when LeBron has fed him early. Once he gets in his rhythm, he knocks down those threes as well.

You're right about needing him to dominate on offense and I think he can IF he gets the ball in the post when there's nobody to guard him as was the case tonight. He can draw fouls like crazy as we have seen but needs the ball to do so which will help our offense (more FTs for everyone and more fouls on players making them wary about defending) and our defense (fewer transition opportunities allowed).

Honestly, I preferred the crazy energy "fat" Love who was a real handful to deal with on the boards. That's what we were expecting: that crazy rebounding and great offense.

We really need to find a way to get Love more involved and a bigger threat by the time the playoffs roll around, or else this trade was for nothing. He is currently being used as and playing like a role player.

We don't have an offensive system. That will hurt guys like Love. He had mismatches all night and they didn't take advantage of it. This happens all the time.

Also, I am wondering if the thumb injury is really fucking his shot up.
