2015 Draft Prospects

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
This board was nearly unanimous on how little running backs offer in terms of value that early after the TRich debacle.

Where did all those people go?

This team has no business drafting a running back that early, it would be a gross misuse of assets.

Well, it's obviously a risk, and it's not the ideal use of picks and value. However, creating an elite running offense with a guy like Gurley isn't the worst idea in the world. Like drafting Bud Dupree.

Not to mention, we already have more than good enough RBs already on the roster...

Taking a RB in the 1st round would be asinine.

Neither is good enough to be a full time #1 ball carrier.
This early in their careers, nobody knows that and it would be asiten to deem them unworthy and draft a running back in the first round when the Browns have more important needs.

Browns shouldn't draft on need.

BPA.

I'm not sold on West and Crowell being the answers but I think they are good enough to see another year with them.

Problem with Gurley is he's fantastic when on the field but he's had some injuries already. I just have a feeling he's going to be a great talent but can't stay on the field enough to be dominant. I also have concerns with Melvin Gordon since Wisconsin used him A LOT over the last 2 years.

Well then they will end up with taking a long snapper in the first with that theory. Some pretty solid long snappers coming out this year.

How is this post a "Winner"?

No offense to @Huber, I get that it's hyperbole.

Well, then you've lost me...

Unless Gurley has the same physical presence as Peterson, where he's on such a different level, then this just isn't justifiable.

I love both Gurley and Perriman. Perriman looks like an absolute stud with room to grow into the best receiver of the class. Gurley is my favorite talent in the draft regardless of the injury. If we could get both, I would be ecstatic for our offense for once.

Just the whole not having a good QB thing.

I would view Gurley as the centerpiece of the offense such as a Lynch, AP, Shady, etc. I think he is that talented and should not even be in the same conversation as a Trent Richardson - who Jim Brown knew was average from the start. Now I'm not a doctor obviously and I don't know if he can get back to the same explosion, but with Gurley we are talking about the best power and speed combination since AP. He has legit track star speed and is a nightmare to try to tackle one on one. We made Hoyer look great last year when our line was healthy, and Gurley is in a different world from any of the guys on our roster. As a professional one time a year Browns draftBreakdown YouTube scout, he would be my pick if I knew the health won't be a problem. :chuckle:

I think we get along like we used to when we're together.
Perriman has some growth still in terms of consistency but he is another freak with talent oozing out of every pore.

Not that I'm advocating for it, but securing one of the top 2 RBs at 19 is a better "win now" choice than moving up for Mariota, who will need a season to acclimate to reading a defense out of the Oregon system, maybe more.

I'm still firmly in favor of NT and DE, unless the value falling at WR is too great to pass up.

If we aren't getting Mariota, we aren't "winning now" in 2015 no matter who we choose.
