Chris, do you think some of how the Cavs have been playing is just them playing down to their competition? They seemed to do that quite a bit during the year, making games close against teams they should be blowing out, and then suddenly blowing out a contending team. It'll be really interesting to see if they step things up against Chicago.

Throughout LeBron's his career he has constantly been the focal point of any offense whether it's distributing or scoring. With that habit comes great responsibility. I feel like he has nailed his own responsibilities just fine.

The problem is he has been beaten 3 times in the finals taking that route against teams that were team oriented.

It's a little worrisome that we've had an entire season to integrate a system and that system doesn't pay the same dividends... as say... San Antonio's. There's little to less than little ISO in their platform. It has more than paid off for that franchise.

Sometimes I wish LeBron would consider putting less stress on himself to be the alpha and just embrace a system that might grow true and tried basketball habits for everybody involved. Maybe there'd be more consistency all around. I'm not saying we won't win a ship playing this way, but I'd prefer a more team oriented style of ball that doesn't include LeBron dribbling himself into a tough shot 8 times a game and then tagging in Kyrie to do the same. The better organizations can prepare themselves for an offense like that.

We'll see...

Great column, just fantastic. I know I'm gushing and sound like a fanboy but this is leaps and bounds over Lloyd and just about everyone else in the Cleveland Media. Great writing, a true understanding of X's and O's (the last half of the column where you go thru the sets to start Game 3, especially), and someone w/ a sense of humor that's not based om pop culture or ESPN snark.

Well done.

Nice article. It's spelled "Zeller" not "Zellar", not that it will matter after today.

I've made it a life's mission to never attend a group RCF event.

Not because I think it'd be creepy, but because I'm better than you.

You spelled 'shorter' wrong...

To be fair Max, it's not every day that we get a celebrity on RCF. To think he's hid it all these years.

How did I miss this thread?!?! Just spent the last hour reading through it. RCF is the best.

Web link "live w/o love" vs article "life w/o love"
"Adjusting his personal" should be personnel (I think)
More great content though. Killing it.

i have a buddy who bet the Cavs 15:1 to win the East. Would you hedge that?

Edit: to be clear here, CP, your stuff rocks. I def. appreciate your skill. I guess it is pretty annoying to have someone call out random grammar. Will not do again.

But for real, buddy really wants to know about the hedge...
