I just don't see us competing with the Warriors without bein fully healthy. At our best right now, I think we could take them to 6 games but the Warriors would still win. The only sliver of chance in beating them is if they find the spotlight of the Finals too big and have the rookie "just happy to be here" mentality, but I don't see it. Not to mention we'd have to win in the Oracle which is a seriously rocking crowd and be perfect at home.

I'd love to pick the Cavs, but I really can't given our current situation. If the Rockets somehow prevail to the Finals, then I like our chances.
Houston would be much tougher to beat than GS. Clippers would be tougher to beat than GS. You can win 67 regular season games but it doesn't mean jack in terms of head-to-head best of 7 playoff series. Their 67 wins are less important than the fact Clippers managed to dethrone the Spurs by 2 points in game 7. law of averages helped the Westren conference- it was SA year to get eliminated early. GS can make the finals only because of that and OKC's disjointed, injury plagued season. They are not all that. Clips/Houston can be a problem. Not GS.

Why? That post contained a lot of stuff, but none of it explained why the Clippers and the Rockets would be problems, but Golden State wouldn't. Only something about the law of averages, but I have no idea how it applies to actually playing any of these teams.

We just beat a very talented, physical Chicago team. Chicago is far more physical than Golden State. Our role players are playing out of their mind right now and confidence levels are sky high. It is hard to say who would win in this series but I would expect Cavs fans to have a little more confidence in their team.

You also said the series was over several times against Chicago in several different threads.

Are you even a cavs fan? Serious question. All you do is gloom and doom all over the place. If you think we get swept easily then honestly you are adding nothing of value to the discussion

Agreed, what is up with that? Cleveland defeatism at it's best.

You're right, jumping the gun. I only say that because I don't think the Rockets would beat GS. Clarification: IF they get the Clippers I think they will have a hard time with them. If Rockets I think they would take care of them in 6.
Clippers will win

Because the Rockets have a roster of veterans that includes champions, Harden-Dwight combo, and athletic, physically difficult to deal with guys. And the clippers are also physically tough with Blake and DJ. They got some shooting. Warriors are mostly shooting. Younger and I think ultimately softer.
There is no badassness in them. They can be punked

Yea buddy. That Jason Terry championship pedigree is frightening.

I'm the Warriors guy apparently, but I have no idea how it's become accepted they are this soft team. Number 1 in defensive efficiency and just handled a team that a lot of people would have said, prior to the series, is mega-physical and tough.

Andrew Bogut is a tough guy. Draymond Green is a tough guy. Andre Iguodala is a tough guy. They've got plenty of dudes who are willing to get physical and toss some guys around.

You read this thread one would be under the impression Golden State wasn't the best defensive team in the league this year. Bunch of soft jump shooters who just like to run and gun. New version of Phoenix. But that's not the case. They defend at the highest of levels and, because of that, can win low scoring, slow paced games.

First its not a jinx this thread is an if than statement.

Second is that GS is not unbeatable, and they are not playing their best ball. I don't think Chicago is better than GS, but they are tougher and it we out toughed them. They have not really faced much adversity. I'd like to see what happens if they do.

I just think we still have a shot at the chip now that the mental toughness on the team has been displayed. 67 win trams are good and consistent, but they better be ready to go to the next level.

Everyone always talks about how good western conference teams are, but they often turn out to be soft in the finals. Not including the spurs.

I think it's more likely that Bogut gets hurt before the Finals. He's never been an iron man, and they're due for an injury.

I'm still more concerned about a team with Harden,Ariza,Josh Smith and Dwight. And Jason Terry can still knock down the three exactly when you don't need him to. KT and Steph don't scare me like that. I don't care about their defensive efficiency against 28 teams. I care how they match with Lebron James. The roster make up of Rockets and Clippers more concerning me than GSW. I'm glad one of those will be eliminated and hopefully neither will make it to finals.

Houston scares me a bit too. Dwight lead teams have always given Lebron trouble and Harden is near unstoppable at times. GSW I think it could go either way, hard to say how that series would turn out (and why I started this thread). The only Western team I feel confident we can beat are the Clippers but I don't expect to see them in the finals.

Safe to say if the Cavs lose in the ECF, I'm blaming the creator of this thread.

Only if you thank the OP of the Cavs vs. Spurs thread for getting the Spurs knocked out. :chuckle:
