Thats some weak stuff there and Kobe was so over rated its not even funny. The dude has career 45% fg and a weak 33% from behind the arc and now that his best days are behind him why would Kevin Love want to play with him?

It is not even the fact that Kobe is a shell of his former self. It is the fact that the Lakers are devoid of talent from top to bottom. Sure they have a pick and a prospect in Randle but that is hardly enticing to a player in his prime like Love. He would arguably be in a worse situation than when he was in Minnesota. The only possible reason he would join the Lakers is if doesn't care about care about basketball or winning and isn't comfortable living anywhere outside of his hometown LA.

LA isn't his home town.

I just have to rant. Aaron Goldhammer is a hack. An absolute hack.

I made the mistake of listening to him for 5 min. He thinks the Cavs won't resign Love and will use the money elsewhere. That is impossible. We are over the cap. And if anything, we would max him and trade him later (won't happen, but more realistic than his idiocy).

The guy is the worst. Actually, no. He is par for the course for KNR. They are morons, every last one of them.

I think somebody corrected him after he said that, didn't they?

Love is a key to our long term success, he knows it and so do we. TT has stepped up big, but I wouldnt say that we should keep him over Love. Both can be here.

Some numbers to digest.
The day JR Smith made his Cavs Debut, we were 19-18. We finished the season 53-29. So After the trade we were 34-11. Pretty damn good, but lets look a little further into those loses.

Of the 11 loses:
2 were without Lebron
2 were without Love
1 was without Irving & Lebron (only a 7 pt loss)
1 was without Irving (2 pt loss in OT)

Then there were 2 throw away games vs Boston. We wanted them in the playoffs, and wanted to ensure that Indy stayed out.

That is 34-3 (1 gel game vs Phx, a 4 pt loss to the Pacers, and a loss in ATL) when healthy and actually give a shit. Thats a win% of 91%. Extrapolate that over an entire season and we win 75 games. A lot of luck has to happen for that to be the case, and Im not suggesting we win 75, but its puts our 2nd half in perspective. When together the team is a nightmare for anyone.

Injuries happen, chemistry happens, rest happens, etc. I feel confident that if this core goes into next season together after a long run, new contracts, offseason, adding talent to replace Miller, Marion, Jones, & Haywood that we can be an all time great. Kevin knows that, we know that. There is no way around that, and no reason either party would want to split.

Can you imagine an offseason for these guys, and all guys coming back healthy? Everyone is spreading rumors to derail us. Ignore them, and just accept that the Cavs are going to rip the league a new one next year.

LA isn't his home town.

Speaking of his home town, if I took the idea of him leaving seriously, which I don't, I'd be more worried about Portland losing Aldridge and pursuing KLove. Portland has two advantages over LA: 1) it is actually a decent team, and 2) it is actually his home town.

But the Cavs are an ideal situation for him. A team that he already has been through the fire with that reached (most likely) the Finals *without* him and with our second best player at half strength? Where he could be that last missing ingredient for a championship? There is no evidence that he has had anything but good relationships here in Cleveland. It's perfect, and frankly if he left he would look like he was scared of the challenge of winning it all.

I'm pretty sure Kevin Love lives in Los Angeles guys.. Like, he lives in Santa Monica AFAIK. He grew up in Portland, but again, AFAIK, Los Angeles is his home by choice.

For example, my home is Honolulu, not Cleveland; even though I was born and raised there, I would never want to live there ever again.

If I could play for Cleveland or Honolulu I would, but my personal preference would easily be Honolulu (but being from Cleveland I would make the sacrifice to live in Cleveland to win a championship there).

Another thing that's important to note; folks that grow up on the coasts don't seem to think like this. They don't think, 'man, this is my hometown and they need me.' I don't think there's any motivation from the heart to drive Love to play in L.A. (or Portland) other than the fact that his father played for the Lakers.
If I were Kevin Love, I'd ask the Cavs to make some changes with the offensive system to incorporate me a lot more; if they agreed, I'd stay for a year and feel things out - if they didn't agree or said it was up to Blatt, I would leave. It's as simple as that.

People say it's an ideal situation for him, but it's not. If it were "ideal" he wouldn't have been complaining year round. Not everyone wants to be a third wheel, especially not a guy with MVP aspirations.

And just for the record, I'm not speaking for Kevin, I'm speaking for myself. If I were him, I'd be kind of pissed at how this season played out and I'd want assurances that things would be different. Kevin Love is his own man and has stated he's not going anywhere, so I take him at his word.

Windy ones again proves his worthlessness

They ask him about Kevin Love

This guys says he's a weird dude, he has no idea why he's only seen him once in a game since the injury

He doesn't know if he's not allowed to travel with the team, he doesn't know

What a hack? How about you ask and find out you fatty

@gourimoko is correct. Love lives in in L.A. during the offseason. He's also dating Disney chairman Alan Horn's daughter. How any of this means he's signing with the Lakers this offseason is beyond me.

Exactly.

Well, I'm married to Morgan Fairchild but that doesn't mean I want to move to Hollywood..
