He had surgery March 25th.
Won't pitch this year, won't be rushed by the organization in 2016. Certainly on an innings limitation and will be shut down at some point anyway.
I think he can wind up in High-A by the end of the season, provided there are no further set-backs from what is rumored to be a not-so-ordinary Tommy John procedure.
Right, which is why i said i thought he had the issues and the surgery before, when contract talks with houston broke down. and he wont be rushed by the organization, there was talk he would have made Houstons rotation this year he had he signed and been healthy because he's that good and that advanced. he also had the same surgery done by the guy who did Carlos Carrasco's surgery, plus a week before the draft he finally let teams see his medical report and word is it was all good news

Indians dont make this pick if they dont think he's not going to be as good as he was before the surgery or that he wouldnt sign. That doesn't change the fact Aiken wont see much Minor league baseball, players with his stuff, control and makeup only come along in guys like Kershaw, Strausberg, Fernandez etc types. He'll be full time in the rotation by the time he's 21 (2016), i would bet my life savings on it.
