Extraordinary showing by Love tonight, but I'm perturbed by his almost total omission from the second half. Seriously, how does a guy go for 27 in one half only to wind up with 34 points? The thought process seems to be "okay, Love got his, now let's focus on others." BS, keep feeding him!
Defensive adjustments.

I can't believe Blatt couldn't figure out to put this dude in the post more last year. Overall his shooting isnt great yet this year, especially from 3. However he's shooting a SCORCHING 77% from the field on jump hooks. that's his goto move in the post.

Where did you get the stat for hook shots? I was just looking at post up stats on nba.com and he is currently #1 for points per possession for players with at least 10 post ups this year, at 1.29 PPP. He's shooting 72.2% on post ups, so I believe the 77% on hooks, but I'd love to see the stat breakdown for everything.

Good lord this forum is ridiculous sometimes... The last time I was in this thread was around November 14th so I saw all of those posts in this thread when I got on today... Absolutely brutal, acting like Kevin Love was Tyler Zeller. It honestly made me cringe reading it. He was getting hammered because he had a couple "rough" games. There's probably a lot of embarrassed people from their posts during that time... Man, has Kevin showed you guys up? This guy is a fucking stud, I don't know 3 guys in the NBA at his size, that can shoot and rebound like he does. He's having a hell of a year and he's only going to get better, stronger and more comfortable. RIP Kevin Love haters.

That's what usually happen when guys have huge halfs. They usually get attention and fizzle out.

I ' love' how bipolar this thread is- it swings wildly on a game by game basis. Love does bad, every critic makes a ' told you so' post. He does well, a dozen supporters do a ' told you so' post. Its just comical.

That's usually because the opponent usually comes out with the intention to shut his water off. Which means doubles and more attention on the hot player, which opens up opportunities for other guys to go off.

Just this thread? Mate this is RCF culture! Check out Wiggins, Waiters, GT, and TT (occasional LE 82 million meme) threads and have more giggles!

What will be interesting is now that Love is finally getting into a groove, what will happen to that dynamic when Kyrie gets back.

Right now Love is getting 15 FGA's a game and plenty of post touches and is basically averaging 20 and 12 (even with an up and down start). That's pretty damn good.

But Kyrie is a stud, he is arguably one of the best offensive players in the entire NBA. So those touches/points are going to drop.

How that shakes out is going to be something to watch. This is where the big 3 dynamic is a challenge, it's easy to defer to Lebron because he is an all-time great. But that pecking order for 2nd or 3rd option is a little tricky.

It shouldn't matter who gets the shots. we need everybody to play within the system, that means non stop man movement, cutting and slashing, and constant ball movement/screening and unselfish passing until we get the best possible shot every possession no matter who gets it.

some games J.R will have 30 and some games Lebron will have 12, but we will still blow people out because smart team basketball when everybody is touching and moving the ball the entire game is the right way to play, Individual stats shouldn't matter at all.

LMAO....I was here for the "KLove is a scrub/We want Wiggins" stretch after those couple rough games, so when my iPhone notification screen had "Kevin Love 27" @ the half, after shaking my head to make sure I am reading it right, and going on twitter to see dozens of "Kevin Love on fire" the next thing was to think of this thread and some of the posts from week and a half ago....:chuckle::chuckle::chuckle:

Yes. Except the critics are literally smoking crack.

Kevin Love so far this season has been everything we expected to get from him after the trade.

As long as we keep using him the right way, he will continue to produce. Kyrie seemed to have trouble playing with him early on, but come playoff time(Boston series), and the last 30 or so games of last year it looked like they had figured a lot of the issues out.

Shumpert coming back and Mozgov hopefully coming back with his shoulder okay and *fingers crossed* his knee improved, will only help Love, as then he can become a much better defender as long as the effort is there.

It's just really exciting. The way the players are starting to gel with continuity is really awesome to watch.

Second half of the season is going to be a lot of people walking back comments about how great the Warriors are and how they are the presumptive favorites.

Warriors, simply by winning, are giving LeBron everything he needs to get this team pissed off enough to start shitting down other teams throats.
