IF he's gonna play on Christmas, it'd be nice to have him back at least a few games to shake off the rust.

My best guess looking at the schedule is he returns December 8 at home against Portland. He has a date circled on his calendar and to my eyes that is a likely option. He gets a couple games to warm up before OKC and GS and no back-to-backs in that timeframe before GS.

Those are some great reports. Of course, LeBron didn't give it any effort, because he knows damn well that Kyrie is the one who's supposed to take us o the Promised Land, but it is great for Kyrie's confidence.

He should be allowed to come back after Love's first 30-20 game.

That way we'll have at least 24 hours where we don't have people complaining that the Cavs overpaid for a broken down version of the Timberwolves Love.

Cause once Kyrie comes back, Love's touches go down.

If Blatt was smart, and he is, I think he'd pick one of Kyrie or LeBron for him to spend the bulk of his minutes on the floor with. But not both.

You guys know the play where Mo Williams is "nashing it" dribbling underneath the basket? That play frequently involves LeBron James cutting to the rim for a ferocious slam.

Kyrie should get that play tattooed on his left forearm, because with Irving's slashing ability, he can work that play all-day long.

You can even use LeBron cutting as a decoy, then have Kevin spotted up at the 3.

By the way, when our team is making the extra pass, it's a goddamn treat to watch. Love is actually very good at keeping the hot-potato hot.

For all the terrible luck that Cleveland has, you have to admit we skipped out on drafting Joel Embiid. We also got Kyrie Irving delivered to us by the basketball gods.

That trade with LAC will live in infamy, it's the best luck Cleveland has had since Gloria James was impregnated by an anonymous man and bore a 6-8 basketball GOD.

Getting Kyrie too..... we're pretty fucking lucky. For all the Cleveland negativity.....common now.

Thanks to Dan Gilbert, his resolve, and Lawyers.

They only thing keeping Kyrie from being one of the truly great players ever is his body. If he can get remotely healthy for the rest of his career, his numbers are going to be insane.

Kyrie's biggest challenges are mental. "Get buckets" is not the motto of a winner.

The sooner he realize this, the sooner he closes the gap between him and Curry and perhaps eclipses him.

It will be interesting to see what he's learned from the bench watching Mo & Delly run the team and the plays he will soon be asked to run. He doesn't have to learn how to play the point for this team to succeed, but it sure would help.

I think he needs to improve his defense, specifically defending the three point line would be a priority of mine. I would actually encourage the "get buckets" motto. There is this stigma that if you are sub 6'4" that you must be this prototypical pass first guy or you get ripped for being "a shooting guard in a point guards body." Well, how many guys in the league regardless of size have Kyrie's scoring ability?

I'm not saying that he should only be a scorer, but golden state found out the steph is a much better scorer than anything else, and has surrounded him with other guys that can initialize the offense to tap into his incredible scoring prowess.

LeBron is a top notch scorer and playmaker, delly has turned himself into quite the playmaker. When Kyrie is on the floor with those guys I would like to tap into his scoring prowess because he is such a fantastic three point shooter off the catch and the dribble; plus he can get anywhere on the floor he wants with his dribble and can finish really well around the basket.

The defense is where we will see the most net gain from an improvement from him. Getting out on shooters, keeping those active hands and improving on how he navigates screens would be huge for this team.
