This guy is pure cheese. Sprinting off a screen, stopping on a dime and in the same motion rising up and drilling from 3. Makes it look stupidly easy, the effect when he hits a couple and the opposition start to panic has a degree of comedy to it.

Korver is just unbelievable at times. Only question is if he can do it in the playoffs when teams specifically game plan to stop him. I am too lazy to look up his playoff numbers, but it sure seems like the Cavs always did a great job of making him irrelevant when he played for Atlanta. Hopefully since we have LeBron and more talent around him than ATL did, along with him being more comfortable in his 2nd year on the team, he will step up in the playoffs this season.

Last year was 30+ reg season games and first time with him in the playoffs. Hopefully this year there is:

-more all around ball movement,
-more multiple movement, multiple screeners plays
-better chemistry and familiarity of his best spots
-more time to formulate counter plays to exploit when teams(GS) focus so much on shutting down his movement and space.

Yeah, you can see them being afraid of him even looking at the basket. The wild chases around the screen. All that while LeBron is already soaring for the dunk. Super useful player.

IBWT called it, but Kyle Korver really should have been a teammate of LeBron’s a lonnnng time ago. Would have been tremendously mutually beneficial for both of their careers.

In most of these highlights, Wade looks in disbelief over how easy it is to pick up assists with Korver.

I mean, Wade is pretty smooth anyway and Korver is making his job easy.

What GS did last year at times was put Curry on him. Cavs in the first regular season matchup tried to take advantage of it and it didn't work. I'm hoping they figure it out. Korver should be able to just shoot over Curry or in a best case scenario forced to move one of their plus defenders such as Thompson and Iggy on him. Wear them down

This is crucial. The coaching staff know the static sets they used last year did not use Korver the way they could have. He actually seems to shoot worse just spotting up than off the screen. They are much more focused on getting him open looks. The best part of it is that it has led to better looks forhim, but also given LBJ even more room to operate as well as Dwayne and Green getting to the rim.

Those Frye/Korver screen actions are so nice. As @Jontibs mentioned, teams are deathly scared of that top of thr key three off of a double screen and they’re running around frightened to death. A couple of times we ran actions on the other side of the court off of the defensive movement towards Korver, and I expect to see more of that because Korver is a capable passer and has decent vision.

Korver might have more offensive impact than any other non-creator ever. In 2015, the Hawks’ offense was 12 points per 100 possessions better and he boasted a+4.08 ORPM.

Last little thing: Korver is shooting 77.8% at the rim, by far the highest in his career. The team is running some beautiful actions this year getting players open for these easy shots at the rim.

J.R. musta been watching Space Jam or something, hoping by touching him he can obtain his magical 3 point powers and stop shooting 33% from 3 on the season.

Only slightly kidding.

Love what Korver has brought to the table this season. 43.8% from 3pt line, NOT BAD! Any guess who's in 2nd? LeBron James at 43% from 3pt land. Wow.

He is doing a lot of what Ray Allen offered LeBron in Miami. Anytime this guy shoots I feel like it's going in.
