Cavaliers supposedly monitoring Zach Randolph

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Please dont let this be a major thread...

We have come a long way since the collapse of the other board and those few weeks when RCF resembled Ellis Island and pre-depression new york. It seemed like every day, there was a new thread made from some one liner speculation in the National Sports Inquirer or Roger Browns blog.

I have t-shirts that read I survived Bibby Deadline night 07, Bibby/Redd Tradewatch 08, and the collapse of weaker Cavs Boards Summer 08.

For the first time in the Bron era, I am approaching this season feeling pretty good about the roster and even the Coach who would have to try REALLY hard to screw the pooch on making a rotation with this group.

I cant stand another outbreak of NY trade rumors and 8 player mega trade rumors right now... at least not until the all star break.

I beg of those of you who have ESPN's trade checker bookmarked on your browsers, and who spend more time in hoopshype and realgm than here... let me be at peace with this roster for a few months.

Thank you

Fella's I told yall in the off season, this trade would present it self to us.How can you pass on David lee 10 and 10 and Zach Randolph 17 and 10 for Has -Ben Wallets 4 and 8.

I remember how so many cavs fans did not want Mo, it was Redd or nothing.

Now we have an elite starting point guard.

Ferry is gonna do it,he is breaking down the soft image portrayed by many cavs teams in the past. Cavs are getting tougher.

David Lee and Z-Bo bring a Nastyness to the court that you can't teach, and it takes that to win in this league plus they are both more talented than any post player on are team.

We will annihilate Boston with this team.

J.J. can wait and learn the post game from Zach, and when his cotract is up he will be like 30 and Hickson will be 23.

Jackson can wait and learn from Lee who will definatley be resigned by the cavs.

We have so many good guys on this team, and ZBO will be a welcomed addition.

LeBron is also 6'9 260 ,He will keep Zach on point.

The biggest advantage is that we can still shop Wally and Sasha for Mike Miller or Mike Redd at
the deadline.

Brilliant.............

Ferry will decode the matrix that is the Cleveland Curse.

Besides we will be Damned if we let Detroit swoop in and take this deal , Believe that............

another good point.......i would be TIGHT if detroit gets ZACH because you should already know..........I AM WILLING TO GET PLAYERS WHO CAN HELP LEBRON OUT & HAS A CONTRACT THAT GOES PAST 2010 than stick with this team who has a chance at the ship(but it will be another hard battle) and up going nowhere & our franchise player is gone.......the only thing i am worried about in the 2010 FA is keeping the BEST PLAYER IN THE GAME

Another thing I just thought of about why this trade could happen. I honestly believe Danny is not gonna sit back and hope to get lucky in 2010. He is not afraid to take on salary now.

Him going after VC for Wally proved this since VC has 4 years left on a huge contract .

I rather bring back Larry Hughes than Zach Randolph

I would rather get punched in the nads, than trade for Zach Randolph :chuckles:

I rather bring Jose Mesa in to save the 9th inning, than trase for Zach Randolph. :king:

I would rather start Bew Wallace at point guard than trade for Zach Randalph....ok maybe that one is to far, lol

LMAO!!! :chuckles:

How is z struggling? He is shooting about 50% from the field in the preseason and averaging like 11/5 in 21mpg.

Andy is shooting 52% and averaging 7/4 in just 20mpg

Ben Wallace.....sucks, but he is a better defender than Randolph even with his rapid decline.

We have no need to make this trade, we are not in a desperate situation to make an irrational move like this. We have some trade pieces and will have the opportunity to make a good deal around the deadline if needed.

Thank you, I was going to post almost the same exact thing. Zach = bad idea.

I can't decide whether VC would look better or worse in a Cavs jersey now that we have Mo. I made a strong argument in favor of VC back before we'd heard anything about the Mo deal going down. My argument is that he can create points for himself and would be able to spell LBJ without allowing us to fall apart offensively.

Now that we have Mo who, let's face it, is a guy who needs the ball in his hands a lot...I don't know whether we'd need VC or if he'd be happy on this team. When the hell would he get the ball? Between LBJ and Mo Williams needing their touches, I just don't know where a score-first guy like VC would fit in.

That said...the argument that could be made in favor of VC is that with Mo on the team we wouldn't require very much out of VC.

I honestly believe our best bet at this point is to get either a scoring C or a guy who can shoot off of screens and can play off the ball (Mike Redd, Rip Hamilton type).

The dude can kill a happy meal with the best of em, could use that kind of fervor on the bench.

You do not trade for "CANCER." Yeah, he's got good stats, but the intangibles are simply too great against him.. Let's not get thirsty people. We are in good position come the trade deadline - but let's not forget the free agency come 2010! We could become the greatest franchise in NBA history with the right acquisitions over the next 24 months.

And since no one has posted this already, I give you "CANCER" in all it's glory:

We don't need this on our team. Never Forget Laura Hughes!

Hey now, nobody gave you permission to post outside of the Obama thread! Just who do you think you are bringing that liberal swagger into this thread? You then go on to blast Cleveland legend Larry Hughes? Just terrble as Barkley would say.

Question is would you trade Wally for Randolph and David Lee?

I would personaly really think about that if its clewar that we really need frontcourt help. David Lee would be awesome here. And Randolph is the definition of a cancer on a team, but I cant see him actin up with LeBron and Ben on his ass every day.

Id prefer to just stay away from tha Knicks though. THey contagious man.

David Lee is very cool with me, but if we did work out a reasonable trade for him, I wouldn't even bother with Randolph. Randolph would be subtraction by addition.

That would leave only a week of trade rumors. You know who you're dealing with, right? :chuckles:

It could be much worse. We could be talking Eddy Curry.

yuck

I mean I guess I could see why they might look into a big man who can score

but hopefully not this one...

I for one still thnk VC would be a nice option....VC for Wally still makes sense to me..but I am a crazy bastard
