Game Thread | Game #19 | Cavs @ Bucks | Nov. 25, 2022

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I’ll say it again JBB needs to trash this “above the three point line” offensive set! I’m tired of seeing this offense waste 18 of the 24 seconds with Mobley and JA handling the ball beyond the three point line!

Even with Allen the MO is to rough us up.

Yeah, there aren’t a ton of teams that can do it effectively. Most of them we have enough talent to counteract it. Bucks certainly aren’t one of them.

Okoro just a 3 off the dribble.

wtf?

Fuck Okoro….NOW you hit a jump shot with no pressure when the game is all but over.._fuck you

Nah. None of them would've mattered. The score might've been closer, but there's a clear separation between great and experienced team vs. potential to be great inexperienced team. They're going to need Mobley to develop into a KG type player if they want to get past Milwaukee or Boston.
Mobley is never going to be a KG type player. What makes KG who he is was his mental and physical toughness like no one else. Mobley just doesn’t even come close in that regard.

We don’t even need that from Mobley though. Even if he was like a Siakam level player that would be enough. I just don’t see it happening though tbh, and I’m probably alone on that. But he just gets pushed around so easily and lacks offensive skills in general. Even if he bulks up, there’s the concern about how his mobility will be affected given he’s a narrow framed guy.

A take of two adjustments. Not coincidentally, both related to Jarrett Allen getting hurt against the Fucking Bucks..again…

The Cavs after losing Allen for the night, we’re forced to adjust their pick and roll coverage on Giannis, Bickerstaff opted for Robin Lopez and a early show and drop…Inexplicably….

Turned the offense even further towards anemic by pairing him with Okoro. Neither guard was able to go supersonic tonight because the bucks are too switchable when you can’t punish them on the interior with two high level 7 footers.

Mobley has shown signs of greatness this year, but he’s also shown that physically, he’s a year away from being a year away…and that’s OK. That, despite all of the feces I’m sure is being flung at him tonight, is okay. Him and L
Allen are a dominant force together but apart Mobley isn’t there physically..and that’s okay. He’s barely able to have a beer legally.

My ultimate concern rests with the decision making by Bickerstaff after suffering what was another annoying and degestating blow losing Allen for the night.

But we knew Robin Lopez wasn’t the answer after this same experiment in game 1 of this matchup.

Cavs should have gone small, spread the floor, and gunned for a 120-115 game. Win or lose. But that 35-10 beat down was embarrassing.

Was Diakite available tonight? He’s a guy who could have at least held up physically next to Mobley tonight. At least someone who doesn’t hang your pick and roll guards out to dry against the best player in the world playing with a well oiled championship caliber roster that know each other intricately on both ends

I’m encouraged by a great first half. Extremely annoyed by the continuous nagging injuries/illnesses, and disappointed in the coaching after a couple of nice performances recently, one against the Hawks specifically.

The bad part is we have enough talent to get a guaranteed middle seed playoff spot regardless of JBBs lack of coaching so the record is going to be too good to fire him. By the time Koby figured out the problem Mitchell’s contract will be up and then the team is fucked because I don’t think Mobley is good enough to take the leap to number 1 or 2 option in his place

Having a bunch of nice happy-go-lucky nerds is fun when you're winning. But man does your team look like pussies when you face a team that's coming for your throat like this.

This team needs an enforcer in the worst way. Honestly wouldn't mind Crowder.
I think Lamar is that dude but he was sick today. We got bend over that second half.

Good luck thinking this idiot will ever adjust to anything. His philosophy is just play harder!!

People keep getting upset at Mobley being soft but man it's Jarrett Allen that keeps going down with every little nick and knack type of injury you can think of...ankle here, hip there......
