2023 Free Agency

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I’d like to bring back Ragland and Deion jones. I think a 3 some with them and JOK would be decent when those guys are healthy. I’d still want to draft a LB high and or sign someone worth better than replacement level.

DT and speed WR are the biggest needs by far. Stop with the stop gap shit and experimental players.

$36 million and 8 draft picks just isn’t enough to field a team. Pack it in, boys.

Let’s all just pass around the tissues and cry about it until next year.

You know we will go the NOLA route, keep pushing the cap with rewritten countracts and back load till it blows up one day. I would take the Saints run, 10 years of contenders, always in the playoffs and a Superbowl victory.

My dream FA signing is Zach Allen, should the Cardinals fumble it and let him walk.

Would unload the truck for him to play across from Myles.

Edit- Just to be clear. There were times this year where you watched him next to JJ, and it was just two JJ’s. Dude can get to QB, and play in/our.

Allen is good. But assuming the Browns stay in a 4-3 base defense- which maybe shouldn't be assumed- I'm skeptical of unloading the truck for a 3-4 DE

I'm not so quick to pigeon hole players.

If someone can set the edge on run downs and shift inside to replace a double-team eating 1-tech on passing downs, that’s someone I would be very interested in.

And that’s exactly what you’d get. His MV on Spotrac is just south of 7, and he’s worth every single penny of that.

To be fair or D-Line is not good outside of Myles who has the size to play 3-4 end. We need to replace our DT tackles and our front 7 is our biggest weakness on the team.

Its kind of like this offseason we are starting ovrer, instead of needing a DT, end and linebacker or 2, Maybe it would be easier to switch with our personell not being there. One thing a 3-4 base can do is use the flexibility to get Myles in less double teams as they move around the Edge - LB position.

I am not saying I want to switch, i prefer a 4-3 personnally, but I wouldnt be against it if the new Defensive Coordinnator has a soild plan.

It's overblown.

First, base is nickel. You have seven guys up front like 10% of the time in the NFL now.

Second, did anyone have issue with Von Miller or Khalil Mack? They were "linebackers" in a 3-4 but just rushed the passer every play.

No defensive coordinator is going to ask Garrett to stand up and play in the second level regularly. It's a moot point.

Gap assignments are weird anyways. Some of the most successful 4-3 alignments the last few years are using assignments from 3-4 schemes. If we're lining someone up at 4i, whether we call that person a DT or DE, that label doesn't really matter.

Exactly the whole 4-3/3-4 thing is so over blown.

Zach Allen would also fill the void in the white defensive lineman who is a fan favorite department. We've been severely lacking in this area since Economic Czar Carl Nassib and The Pierogi Prince of Parma Jamie Meder have been gone.

Chase Winovich had a spark when he first started but now.....

Chase was doomed from the start and it wasn't because he went to TTUN. It's because he cut his hair and when you're a white pass rusher with a personality that fans gravitate to you do not cut your hair Chase. He lost a lot of momentum with the haircut.

Give me a white pass rusher who we can hype up on defense like we did on the offense with Gary Barnidge. Nobody can fill Gary's shoes but that's because he needs those steel toe boots to finish concreating those driveways.

We are lacking in the players who fans think are fun department. One of the reasons why fans say that don't like a team is because the team just doesn't have enough fun players or guys who you like to rally around.
