2023 Free Agency

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Zach Allen would also fill the void in the white defensive lineman who is a fan favorite department. We've been severely lacking in this area since Economic Czar Carl Nassib and The Pierogi Prince of Parma Jamie Meder have been gone.

Chase Winovich had a spark when he first started but now.....

Chase was doomed from the start and it wasn't because he went to TTUN. It's because he cut his hair and when you're a white pass rusher with a personality that fans gravitate to you do not cut your hair Chase. He lost a lot of momentum with the haircut.

Give me a white pass rusher who we can hype up on defense like we did on the offense with Gary Barnidge. Nobody can fill Gary's shoes but that's because he needs those steel toe boots to finish concreating those driveways.
We are lacking in the players who fans think are fun department. One of the reasons why fans say that don't like a team is because the team just doesn't have enough fun players or guys who you like to rally around.

What a thrill, getting to watch you stumble upon your next quirky and unnecessary take in real time. :chuckle:

Woo… time for me to take a break from RCF for a minute…

We do lack fan favorites. I love Nick Chubb but he's more of a Kawhi Leonard type. A lot of people will probably never cheer for Deshaun Watson for their own personal reasons. Myles is our most well known guy but he's had a lot of shit too.

JOK is a fun guy but he's been hurt. I think Greg Newsome can fill the fun guy void a little bit but people like the big personality types.

This is a face that only white privilege could love.

Do. Not. Want

We could be going to a 3-4 this offseason. We could see a complete overhaul of the front 7 with the exception of Myles and JOK. Who’s out there that fits the 3-4?

Now that Schwartz has been hired, some guys to watch in free agency (and years they spent with Schwartz)--

iDL Javon Hargrave (2020)
iDL Fletcher Cox (2016-2020)
iDL Teair Tart (2021-2022)
iDL Hassan Ridgeway (2019-2020)
iDL Ndamukong Suh (2010-2013)

EDGE DeMarcus Walker (2022)
EDGE Vinny Curry (2016-2018; 2019-2020)
EDGE Genard Avery (2019-2020)
EDGE Brandon Graham (2016-2020)

DL Mario Edwards Jr (2022)

LB TJ Edwards (2019-2020)
LB David Long (2021-2022)
LB Nate Geary (2017-2020)

CB Janoris Jenkins (2021)
CB Sidney Jones (2017-2020)
CB Nickel Robey-Coleman (2014; 2020)

S Marcus Epps (2019-2020)
S Andrew Adams (2022)
S Rodney McLeod (2016-2020)

DB Josh Kalu (2021-2022)
DB Lonnie Johnson (2022)

I'd say Rodney McLeod and Hargrave/Cox would be the biggest names to target and immediate starters.. I could also see Nickel-Robey Coleman, Nate Geary, Vinny Curry and Suh being brought in on one-year depth deals..

Couple other names to watch: Marcus Epps, Andrew Adams and Teair Tart..

Epps and Adams could be S3, guys who push Delpit and allow Schwartz to run his Dime looks.. T

Tart is an interesting case if they lose out on Hargrave and Cox, which I'd say is likely.. Tart has gotten significantly better each of the last three years with him grading out as PFF's 23rd best iDL this year.. Tart also fits the Berry profile of a player coming off of his first contract.. He's the under radar signing I could see being a likely outcome when you factor in age + production + cost + being at an area of need..
