2012 Draft

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I know we need a center (among other things) but Drummond is scaring me more and more....

If you can comfortably see him getting a few go-to post moves in a few years and becoming a dominant center, then he's gotta be the pick at #2. I'm just scared of what I saw from him this year. He was so raw on offense, I'm not sure he'll ever be anything more than a finisher/dunker.

Drummond just does not seem like the type of guy the Cavs FO would look to build around. I think they covet core guys that crave to get better. You've got to love the game and be willing to do everything humanly possible to maximize your potential. Sorry, but Drummond just does not seem to be that guy. IMO, MKG is their target unless they land the first pick. He represents everything this team is about.

Id say Davis then MKG would be my first two. Not a huge MKG guy but he seems to be consensus. I need him to develop some more offense.

Most Good teams are watching and rooting for their team to win a Championship during that time.
lol obv

but the gap between the end of the season and the lottery is kind of pointless. the playoffs have no bearing on the lottery odds so why wait?

even fans of good teams want to know which team will get the next franchise changing player to enter the league.

Guess this process just keeps fans of all teams engaged in basketball related maters for the duration of the time!

Huh? No.

I love watching the playoffs. I prefer to do so when rooting for my own team, but it doesn't change the fact that the playoffs are the best basketball in the world.

And back when the Cavs were dominating, I didn't give two shits about the draft.

What has Dwight Howard become the best center in the game by doing? People forget that the best-case scenario NBA comparison still has a very limited offensive arsenal at 26 and after years of working with Hakeem.

That's bullshit. Dwight has a solid post up game. People need to stop saying he doesn't do anything but dunk.

Not really fond of Davis at all. Parents took money, talking his brand yadda yadda. All for a kid that was a nobody before a growth spurt. Barnes may be a putz, but Davis sounds like a real social climber. Buyer beware.

MKG is not a hard guy to root for. Plays hard, multi-skilled. Just needs to work on his shot. Comes off airheaded, but his will powered UK's massive ego's and kept them incheck. Probably will be incredibly focused for titles.

Beal is everybody's favorite. Multi-skilled, good athlete, has a determination similiar to MKG. Has the basis for a excellent stroke. Why some people like Lamb better is beyond me.

Drummond is a center prospect with some baggage. May be the best player in the draft if he developes. Wonder how he would have done if he had been there a year earlier?

Barnes tries to walk the walk, but can't talk the talk. To much upside to pass on though. Someobody will hope he becomes Paul Pierce.

Regardless of who we take , any combo of Irving/Beal, Irving/MKG, Irving/Lamb, Irving/Barnes will be very exciting... we will have the best young core of players we have had in a looong time, and for once- we'll actually be able to witness a young team grow together, instead of having to find cheap vets that are hungry for that one last shot at a title to fill holes year in and year out. I'm very optimistic for the next few years, and am so damn happy our FO was smart enough to give us a few fun wins this season to give us a taste of the future, and still put us into contention for the 3rd best odds at Davis... I don't think the year could have gone any better... we finished with a record bad enough to get another long term piece, but didn't do it by creating a losing culture.

The Rapters were a example of tank failure. Hope they enjoy Sully.
