2012 NFL Draft Day 2 Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I can only assume the Browns did some math before they picked Weeden. And that the math told them that at least 5-6 guys are still on the board that they like and that if they could still get them with this 2nd, then it really wouldn't matter where they took Weeden, so long as they got him.
This was the same exact thing I was thinking last night. The Browns saw that a bunch of WR/OL were dropping, and figured they could get a guy they really liked at 37, so might as well grab Weeden with #22, and ensure that they get him. I personally think it will be hard to judge the Weeden pick until we see what they do tonight.

At least, that's my argument, and I'm sticking to it...

If Tebow went for a 4th, McCoy will go for a 6th.

Oh yeah, there's no way we're gonna get a 2nd or 3rd straight up. I'm thinking we'll have to package some stuff. Ultimately we need to come away with a WR and OL, IMO.

Possible. If they get a great O Line or WR prospect at 37, I will be happy.

Yup I said it last night I have to reserve judgement on Weeden pick until we see how the rest of the draft shakes out

I still think the Browns can get a RT prospect when they trade up from the 3rd and Colt and draft him.

37 is the spot to get the WR.

Kiper has the Brownies taking Stephen Hill, WR, GT at 37 in his 2nd rd mock.

Really hoping the Browns take Hill or Jeffery today, as well as move McCoy for a pick to be used to move back into Rd 2-3 for an OL.

That's how I feel. Packaging McCoy and that third(or fourth) to move up, rather than what we have left of tradeable picks.

If we get Randle at 37 and one of Glenn, Massie, Martin, Adams or Schwartz, then I think the Weeden pick will be completely justified.

I'm hoping we take Megashon too obviously, but I'm not sure how I feel about Hill still. I do like Randle though.

ESPN's Bob Holtzman reported Stephen Hill may be as high as the No. 3 WR on <S>#</S>Browns draft board. So it sounds like they want him at 37.

<------------ Gimme Vontaze... Not even sure at what point... Just do it...

From Yahoo:

If he can learn to control his temper and stay level-headed throughout an entire 60-minute game, Burfict has the talent to be an elite NFL linebacker. In the end, Burfict's NFL legacy (or lack thereof) will depend solely on the actions he takes to better himself mentally.

He's the kind of crazy that is worth taking a later round pick with...

With Richardson now the focus and Weeden being able to stretch the field, I think Hill is a much better choice than he was prior to the first round. He's a deep threat and a big blocker on the edge. With McCoy, that wouldn't have been worth much to the offense. If we can get him, I'd be willing to pass on the top tackle and the other guys that have fallen so far. I think with Hill you would be able to take pressure off of Richardson, and put our current receivers in more proper roles.

Blackmon/Wright/Hill?

Bob Holtzman spent too much time this morning perfecting the jew fro to realize it was Blackmon, Floyd, WRIGHT (numerous sources saying we were bummed about missing him), then likely Hill, Randle, and Alshon 'All you can eat' Jeffery.

I want Hill we need a big fast fucking burner that can toast the defense since we have the official red ryder bb gun at QB.
