2012 NFL Free Agency Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Seattle, Chicago, Jacksonville. In that order, IMO.

See now, the Browns should be willing to go all out on a guy like this. Just by signing him makes our defense better, then we can focus on a tackle. The draft would be so much easier if we fill 2 major needs through FA.

But that would be logical.

Spending all of your money in one place? He's going to be at around 15 mil in salary, and that's a hefty price tag for someone coming of a season ending injury.

Really. I bet they don't even express interest in MW. We love the Jayme Mitchell's though....

I'm usually a very optimistic fan, but this team is going to suck the life out of me with a boring offseason.

Well you know season ending injuries can be fluke ones too. Would you spend 15 Mil on Jamal Charles? I sure the fuck would. This guy was and still is a beast on the line. NFL isn't guaranteed all like that anyways. Take the flyer and sign him. Give us something to be excited about for once.

Twenty Two Minutes.

And for what it's worth, no I won't spend 15 million on Charles, nor would I give him 10 million.

This is why the Dan Snyder teams always fail, and the intelligently run teams succeed. You can't make moves just to get people excited. You make moves to win. Often times, that is the boring, under-the-radar moves like trading down or drafting linemen with a first-round pick.

And for that specific signing, hell fucking no I would not sign Jamaal Charles for that money. I wouldn't sign a clone of Jim Brown for that money. Running backs get injured far too frequently and easily in today's game. (See Peterson, Adrian; Charles, Jamaal; and James, Edgerrin.)

They better cut him now. Talking Heads on 92.3 made it sound like we're 19 Mil under.

No word yet from Berea. #Browns expected to make couple moves before 4 p.m. opening of free agency.

It was kinda more of figure of speech concerning the 15 and Charles. When their's a guy out there that is still young and in his prime years, you gotta make the jump. You'd be excited on opening day when Jabal and Mario blitz that QB.

I see where you're coming from though. Mario is no Haynesworth though. Signing MW is a winning move.
