2014-15 Off-Season Thread (Moss Acquired - Page 16)

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Figures Beane would want Wendle. Had a down year due to the injury. Buy low on Bean's part, especiallly if he is geting something else in return. If so, good for Wendle- although I think his best defensive position will end up being 3B but that is all my own opinion.

I think he can stick at 2B or be a utility guy who ends up in the outfield too, and I'm right with you that this is EXACTLY the type of player Beane would go for.

L-CF-Bourn
S-SS-Ramirez/Lindor
L-LF-Brantley
S-1B-Santana
L-RF-Moss
R-C-Gomes
L-2B-Kipnis
S-DH-Swisher
L-3B-Chisenhall

That's a pretty nice looking lineup.

Chisenhall switching over to the right side like Tristan? :chuckle:

For real though, that lineup can get you to the playoffs.

Okay I like this. Moss and Donaldson are two of the players I wanted from them. We hve to get this done if not what is plan B? Upton?

Doubt they'll get into Upton, almost no team control to offset the price tag.

I think Allen Craig will be a target for them if Moss falls through. Alex Rios already has been a target too.

Couple other names to throw out after thinking a bit:

Ben Zobrist and Matt Joyce from Tampa Bay. Marlon Byrd in Philly.

Zobrist is declining, but switch hits and plays a solid right field. Probably a 2-3 win player with a high baseball IQ and a reasonable 1 year deal at $7.5.

Joyce can't hit lefties at all, pure platoon guy. But he's in his third year of arbitration and would come cheaper while posting reasonably good numbers vs. RHP.

Byrd is due for a regression, but plays a solid RF adds righty power and will cost just $8M with an option for a second year at $8M as well.

Having a soft spot for the Rays after my internship in the Tampa area, I can honestly say that Zobrist would have the hottest wife on the team.

Hell of a dancer, he must be very proud.

That guy she was with, I'm sure he's just a close personal friend and all but tell me, what was he doing wearing her panties on his head?

Shane Greene would be a nice add for Detroit's rotation, so that kind of sucks.

So the D-Backs just gave up on the guy that they thought was good enough to convince them to give up on Trevor Bauer at age 22?

And Bryan Shaw. It was an interesting time for D-Backs management.

Those guys aren't there anymore though, seems like a pretty good deal for them to get a pitcher like Ray.

I know they cleaned house, still funny. I ain't complaining though

Deal confirmed, Gregorious replacing Jeter at SS for the Yankees.

Best of luck with that, youngblood.
