2014-15 Regular Season Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I feel bad for Kings fans. Had a shot of the playoffs, had one of the best starts in franchise history....and fire their head coach.

If Karl runs Boogie out of town we riot!! Malone was literally the perfect coach and he had successes despite the FO doing everything possible to make sure he failed.

That still isn't even close to being a contender.

Right now it's not but 2-3 years the potential is strong. You have 3 potential elite defenders with those 3 teams would have a hard time scoring. Than you add in it looks like Peyton can be a 14-6-9 guy by next year and Noel is a 11-10-3 guy also and you have a superstar in AD.

Russell Westbrook. Triple double vs. Miami.

If OKC makes the playoffs this season, then Westbrook ties James Harden for my top pick as MVP.

James Harden only 9-20 (3-8 for 3) against Pacers right now. Still has 39 points. 18-18 from the line. So many ways he can kill you. I wish he wasn't such a flopping POS. Kinda like Wade in that regard.

Harden dropped 50 recently with 25 FTs

Who enjoyed that? Like Rocket fans have to be like smh after a while.

Rockets games are gonna take 4 hours in the playoffs with Harden. Now way a guy shooting 20 FTs helps ratings

Yup. After his 15th free throw, the Rockets take the ball out of bounds and reset the shot clock on any shooting foul against Harden.

Problem solved.

I'd be surprised if he gets the phantom foul calls in the playoffs.

Great night in the NBA today, from Dallas's comeback, Lou's misguided dribble 3 when down 2, and off course Middleton's ridiculous 3.

Pistons need to let Monroe go in the off-season and find a real stretch 4.

In the 5 games he's missed they are 4-1 with some pretty good wins (Memphis,Chicago,Toronto). Reggie Jackson and Drummond have both excelled with the better spacing (Anthony Tolliver has been playing the role of stretch 4) and the team is scoring at a much higher clip offensively than they were previously.

Larry Legend is president of the Westbrook fan club right now. It's about as good an endorsement as you can get.

ESPN.com: Russell Westbrook has been averaging nearly 30 points, 10 assists and 10 rebounds per game for over a month now. You’ve put together similar stretches during your career. What do you think of what he’s been able to accomplish?

Larry Bird: Here’s a young man that has had serious injuries — bad knee injuries throughout his career — yet every time he walks on the court, you know you’re going to get 100 percent from him. He attacks, he’s fearless and he plays the way it should be played, so I’m all for him. I hope he wins 10 MVPs in a row. I just love players that compete on a nightly basis and really take the challenge to their opponents.

ESPN.com: You and Russell obviously play two different positions, but does he remind you of yourself in terms of his competitiveness and will to win?

Bird: I don’t know. I just think that my opinion about basketball, the way I was taught, was when you step on the court, you play to win. Now, if you’re not supposed to play to win, then they shouldn’t keep score. If they didn’t keep score in these games, I wouldn’t have played as hard as I did. But I do think this is our job. We know that we’re going to be hurting years down the road. He knows that he’s going to be hurting years down the road, but he can’t help it. He has to play that way to be effective, and he knows that.

Sorry Larry, the NBA MVP is voted on the basis of best player on one of the best teams. Russ isn't top 10 in one of those two categories.

Curry, Harden, LeBron, those three are the race. Westbrook doesn't even have a shot if the voters are consistent with the last decade of voting. Kobe won an MVP with one win more than a much more deserving candidate (CP). That tells you where the voters are at.

Feel bad for OKC. They are going to be irrelevant by 2017.
