2014 Cleveland Browns

Do Not Sell My Personal Information

Should bode well for the run defense.

I don't know if anyone else came away with this conclusion yesterday but honestly, the line doesn't seem to be the issue on run fits. Our breakdown yesterday was the LB's and Safeties failing to fill their lanes.

Did the D-Line play great? No, they did not but more than a handful of times Blue was bounced outside and the Safety or OLB took a horrible angle and let him get the corner for a first down.

Inevitably injuries will hurt you in some fashion but most of our back breaking run whiffs were a result of someone missing an assignment after the D-Line did, at worst, a passable job at the point of attack.

I am surprised that you are underplaying the importance of Phil Taylor. IMO your points are all correct but Phil Taylor has a much bigger impact on our defense being good than we feel. There was a reason that when he was present in the game Vs Cincy we stopped their rushing to under 100 yards. He is a monster player who commands a double team and is some one that the opponents Offensive line have to account for. With the Texans they already have a stellar O-Line (better than Cincy IMO) and the loss of a big and more commanding figure like Phil Taylor is definitely going to make it easy on their O-Line. If their O-Line was kept forcing to double team a player like Phil Taylor, We could have an LB here or there who can slip in and make the tackle or try for a sack but without the DL pressure there really wasn't much that our LB could do.

It's time for Mingo to finally breakout, and have a big game.

Thank God, Josh Gordon and hopefully Jordan are coming back. This offense should put up a lot of points this week. The Falcons defense is truly dreadful.

Falcons always play good @ home , Josh Gordon is just coming back and ditto Jordan after his concussions which means he will be in limited role. Also our DLinesmen are still injured. It is going to to an A+ effort by us and a bad Cincy like effort from Atlanta for us to win.

I'm not so sure Cameron is coming back anytime soon. I don't believe he's been released from the league's head injury protocol and the Browns are being extremely vague about the whole situation. It still may be a few more weeks with this guy.

Wow- I'm surprised by that.

I thought Tate was going to be a great fit in this offense. He has had success at points this year but lately he's looked like garbage. You have to wonder if his attitude was bad news.

Perhaps it's unfair to him, but this seems to be the consensus among the league reporters. (MKC, Mike Silver, etc.)

Went from a fantasy starter two to three weeks ago to out of the NFL today without a season-ending injury or domestic violence scandal. Almost impressive.

Disappointing that it didn't work out for Tate. Guy seemed to love the fans and embraced the city.

I do like the message it sends in the locker room. You can be a starter but if you cause trouble the team has no problem cutting your butt.

Mutually beneficial time for this to happen. Bradshaw goes down in Indy, Tate losing carries and is harboring a grudge toward his counterparts.

All signs point to an opportunity with the Colts.
