2014 Cleveland Browns

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Mutually beneficial time for this to happen. Bradshaw goes down in Indy, Tate losing carries and is harboring a grudge toward his counterparts.

All signs point to an opportunity with the Colts.

Great, the Colts can take another underwhelming back from the Browns :chuckle:

Seriously though, this is best for all parties involved. Clears up the logjam and allows Tate to go somewhere where he can get consistent carries.

He stunk, glad this happen, so Pettine never plays him again. I liked how he embraced the city. But he didn't get it done.

West and Crowell are clearly better. That was obvious for awhile. Notice that our rushing game didn't just suffer when Mack went down, but also suffered when Tate came back.

He's just too slow. He's just a slightly better version of Trent Richardson. Definitely better than Trent. But who isn't? There are third string running backs better than Trent.

Colts signing Tate would be funny. Browns dump on Trent, basically.

Trent: Yes! I am up!

Colts: Uh, we just signed a guy the Browns released, sit the fuck back down.

I'm glad Pettine is willing to make a move like this. It feels like we finally have a locker room that isn't festering with cancer. If Tate started becoming a malcontent, he needed to go. What he was producing on the field wasn't anywhere near worth the attitude off of it.

Can someone post those stats again showing that Mingo is a top 10 pass rusher?

Tate had bad luck here. He came here thinking he'd be the clear No. 1 back, and probably wasn't too thrilled when they took West. Then a UDFA explodes, and Tate finds himself competing against guys who are at least as good toting the rock as he is.

He's probably pretty happy about getting his release.

From the sound of it, no, he's not.

I'm split on him. Loved his enthusiasm when he was signed but he got unlucky here as you said. Why didn't they unleash him vs the Texans? His former team? Probably because of all his complaining but that sounds like the perfect time to pull him aside and say we're going to throw you at your former team, do some damage. Instead they made him a captain and then hardly played him. Stupid, IMO.

Well, it's probably because he lacked any and all burst after he got hurt.

And if his first two runs were an indication Sunday, then it's a good thing they didn't play him more.

Why make him a captain then? That's...kind of insulting. I'm not sticking up for him because like I said his attitude from all accounts was awful. I just feel like it was handled questionably.

So between Cribbs, DQwell, Trich and Tate, who will be most responsible for the Colts beating the Browns in 3 weeks?

Great question, but I'm gonna go with the guy that should have been a Brown but wasn't.

Andrew Luck.
