2015-2016 Around the NBA

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
pretty funny watching Zeke clown the nab on the no defense and he's right this shit is crazy. NFL too theres no defense there also watching great defense is just as good as watching good defenses in the nil or nab but no the rules have made it practically impossible to play defense

So I turn into the warriors game to see Curry hit a 3 at the end of the 3rd quarter... then I look at the gamecast feed:

3.0GS - Stephen Curry makes 30-foot three pointer93-72
14.0CHA - Spencer Hawes offensive rebound90-70
14.0CHA - Kemba Walker misses driving layup90-72
33.0GS - Stephen Curry makes 29-foot three point jumper (Shaun Livingston assists)90-70
43.0CHA - Spencer Hawes traveling87-70
58.0GS - Stephen Curry makes driving layup87-70
1:08CHA - Frank Kaminsky III makes dunk (Spencer Hawes assists)85-70
1:29GS - Stephen Curry makes 30-foot three pointer85-68
1:35CHA - Kemba Walker makes driving layup (Nicolas Batum assists)82-68
1:53GS - Stephen Curry makes 25-foot three point jumper (Andre Iguodala assists)82-66

Thats as far back as it went.. 14 pts in 110 seconds. but apparently he had a 28 pt quarter and scored 24 consecutive warrior pts. Freak.

Fucking Wizards are going to go lose, at home, to the Lakers. Cavs are playing some really mediocre basketball right now, because that Wizards team is bad.

Normally I'd be quite happy about the Cavs start, but Warriors Paranoia or whatever they call it is setting in.

Just stop watching ESPN, and you'll be fine.

Didn't the Cavs go on like a 18-19 run, or close to it last year once they made that trade? I mean shit, 30-3 is absurd.

GS schedule has been very weak thus far too.

I still am sticking with the Spurs coming out of the West.

Kobe just knocked a 3 down to give the Lakers a 2 point lead. Gortat makes a 4 foot jumper and Kobe comes down and hits a vintage 16 foot fadeaway for a 2 point lead with 30 seconds left.

I don't have cable anymore because I am a cheap fuck who refuses to give those companies any more money than I have to, so I don't watch ESPN really. I do listen to their podcenter, ie NBA Lockdown, which consists of Amin Elhassan dick sucking the Warriors almost nonstop, as well as the rest of the guys on there. One thing I take solace in is- and this isn't exactly empirical evidence of anything, or analytical in any way- but I find that at the start of the year in sports, what people think will happen is almost never what actually happens. The latest almost comedic example of this was MLB season where the Nationals and Mariners were practically written into the World Series. :chuckle:

Thus, everybody has already given the next three titles to Golden State...I could see the Spurs or some team we aren't even talking much about (LAC, OKC) much end up in the Finals. Or, the Cavs just plain making it and beating Golden State.

I also think once they lose a game, they will look like a totally different team. Still great, but right now they are doing something historic so naturally they are bringing the pain EVERY. SINGLE. NIGHT. That won't happen anymore once they lose...theoretically, anyways.

The Golden State streak is impressive but that streak Miami went on a few years ago winning 27 straight was much much more impressive.

I mean LeBron had a streak for six straight games where he scored over 30 points while simultaneously shooting 60% or greater.. while not being the shooter that Stephen Curry is.

The team that blew us out last night is going to be beat by the team that lost to the worst team in history.

More ether for The Bean

So, Putin in the 2016 Summer Olympics?

Wade has seriously regressed this season. Worst of his career. We may have seen the end of Wade as a top tier player.

I just feel like OKC is too stupid of a team to do anything but ISO. They are seemingly filled with a bunch low iq players. Dion Waiters, while he is a decent passer while driving, is not conductive to ball movement. Along with Roberson, Kanter, Adams, Morrow, Augustin , are all not particularly high iq players, and aren't great at keeping the ball moving. Even Ibaka and Westbrook aren't that great at it.

They could really use an Iggy or a Draymond, but couldn't we all...
