2015-2016 Schedule Discussion

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I've gotta think that if they are elimating those, then they are gonna start the season earlier. Probably by about a week or week and a half. Guessing they might cut out a preseason game or two to make room.

The NBA has already announced that the season will open on October 27, which is on par to previous seasons. Look for less weekend games.

Oh I must've missed that. I've been slacking on Twitter this summer so I keep missing the little NBA news snippets.

Although, without looking it up, doesn't the season usually start on Oct 30 or 31? Four extra days would definitely help.

Also, to your point about weekends, I imagine we are gonna see the same amount of Sunday games, but a lot less Saturday games. ESPN is now making Saturday nights a marquee game night. They are trying to make it like a Sunday or Monday night football kind of thing. So I'd guess they'll get the same type of deal TNT has on Thursdays — that there will only be one or no other games on that night. Plus since Friday night is such a busy NBA night, few or no Saturday games will eliminate a ton of back to backs.

Yeah, the new ESPN games will cut down the amount of Saturday games on those specific weekends.

Update on this: Word is the schedule will be released tomorrow during a special on NBATV at 9 p.m. EST. Bits and pieces will probably leak out before.

Cavs sort of shafted. Road game for xmas and opening night.

Yeah, I just tweeted that. A road back to back for the Cavs. 3 teams started like that last year. Tough way to begin.

Road b2b to start the season?

Christmas road game?

We gonna get another road game right before the All-Star break too?

Fuck off, NBA.

It's almost like we're not a marquee team or something.

Seriously, wtf?

They definitely did the Cavs no favors. It will be interesting to see how many days off they get before the home opener. Could be that Saturday night, or even Sunday since the NBA is limiting 4 games in 5 nights.
