2015-2016 Schedule Discussion

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
The NBA gambles seemingly every year lately on Kobe's health. Totally understandable from their perspective given this might be his last go-around, but if he misses significant time again, what a pain it will be when they keep taking up national TV slots from better, more entertaining teams.

Not to mention they aren't even fun to watch anymore when the 37 year old Mamba does happen to play.

It's not actually up to NBA to decide. TV pays billions for the show and chooses who's worth and who's not.

Don't like 3 games in four days against top teams to start the season...I think it's unclear whether KLove and (especially) Kyrie will be ready to go early on.

This. What's up with that? It's the first thing I noticed in the schedule also.

Why the hell are we even opening on the road?

Not a fan.

Maybe the very beginning of the season (@Chi - @Mem - Mia) is so the talking heads have something to bobble about if the Cavs start 1-2. Maybe we get to hear 'Fire Blatt' chants at this point... =/

Oh, to be a team constantly under the microscope.. It's just annoying for the sake of dealing with people from work who only get their Cavs info in this way. Otherwise, the media doesn't (or at least shouldn't) have an effect on the actual success of the team. Still... annoying with some of the stuff that is spouted.

Golden States first four games: New Orleans, Houston, Memphis, New Orleans

Miamis: Charlotte, Cleveland, Houston, Atlanta

Houston: Denver, GS, Miami, OKC

Plenty of other teams with quality starts.

Our Nov1-Dec 24th schedule is as easy/advantageous as could be.

I'm eyeing the February 05 - February 18 5-game home stand to return to Cleveland again. Now that the novelty and euphoria surrounding making it to the Q and to Cleveland for the first time has been fulfilled, this time I want to make a Cleveland-only trip and engage in a number of different things within the city. We play the Celtics, Pelicans, Kings, Lakers and Bulls during the stand and I'd be super excited to see games against the Lakers, Bulls and Celtics in particular.

Also, kind of bizarre how many back-to-backs there are in our preseason schedule. Only one game is a standalone game.

Probably done to give us more practice time in between the 2nd and 3 games and also to get the pre-season as a whole done with as soon as possible so we have more than a week off before the regular season starts.

I expect to see a lot of guys playing only parts of games and sitting out some of those back to backs regardless. We don't have as much cohesion building to do as last year since we already did that last year.

I hate how there’s always over a week long gap between the final preseason game and the start of the regular season. Its too long, the players get restless and it probably undoes some of the progress.

So looks like we have the least amount of traveling in the league. Feel like it has something to do with our division all being so close together. But funny nonetheless.

December 28th in Phoenix. Anyone else going? I'll be there. Piss drunk and embarrassing my family.

October 7th happens to be my birthday! Definitely the best birthday gift you can get after missing Cavs Basketball the whole summer long!
