2015 College Football Season/Playoff Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Folston tore his MCL, out for season.

Big blow to the Irish.

I feared that when I saw him on crutches. That really fucking sucks.

As good as he is, I'm not sure this really cripples ND. The strength of this team is their offensive line. If their line proves to be this legit, they should be fine in the running game.

Zaire is a duel threat, and didn't even really exploit his ability to run fully last night, since Texas was just laughable bad.

Yeah I like Zaire. Notre Dame should be good. Honestly I thought they were a good team last year (way better than an 8 win team), but they never got over getting hosed against FSU...if they just got over it and took care of business the rest of the way like they should have, they probably would have made the playoff. Mental weakness. But they have more experience this year so should be better suited to handle adversity.

Golson just fell apart, mentally, not a real shock. He's got talent to be a pretty good, but mentally he's just not all there at all. He checks out of games, and get's flustered easily. Everything has to go right with him. He has literally no leadership at all.

The talent around him was very good. He just clearly wasn't good enough to lead a team by himself.

Glad he transferred to Florida State. They might enjoy him now, but he's fools gold.

Zaire doesn't even have to be great. He just has to be smart and steady. They got so many weapons around him, and a really good line that will protect him.

Offensively ND should be very lethal. I still don't how their defense will hold up. I don't count them basically shutting out Texas as a real test. Texas' offense was pretty pathetic.

Yeah Texas is abysmal. Not too much to take from that game, honestly.

Meanwhile, the supposed 2nd best team in the SEC, who apparently deserves 25 ranked teams, is losing by a TD with less than 6 minutes left to Jacksonville St...not the Jacksonville Jaguars, Jacksonville St.

Notre Dame in upset alert early over Virginia.

Arkansas about to lose at home to Toledo.

Zaire broke his ankle, he's out for the year.

Tough loss for ND

Maybe Bielema should have been less concerned about OHio State's schedule and more concerned about Toledo this week.

What a bummer. My football life blows.

Maybe he can get a job in the MAC when he gets canned after this year. :chuckle:

SEC was way, way overrated after one week. Missou barely beating Arkansas STate. Same for Auburn and Jacksonville State. Tennessee lost at home in the conferences only big non-conference game of the week. And then Arkansas. Hopefully next year the pollsters will be a little slower in just putting every SEC team that starts the season 1-0 into the top 25.
