2015 Game #3 -|- #1 Ohio State vs. Northern Illinois -|- September 19th, 2015 @ 3:30 PM

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I think we can bench the Fail for Cardale talk. Pun intended.

I don't hate Cardale. But assuming the play-calling is going to stay similar, JT is the much better fit.

I don't know how that can be disputed.

I agree with that and I like Cardale more.

Offense leaving a lot to be desired today.

Defense, on the other hand...

And yes the play-calling as a whole leaves a lot to be desired.
The last two plays were perfect examples. But I totally agree, if we're not going to throw the ball deep and/or power-run, than JT is far and away the better choice. Why that is the case I have no idea but I'll trust Meyer.

Either Elliot is hurt or the coaching staff doesn't believe he can be a workhorse back for an entire season. They refuse to just lean on him for even a drive, let alone a half, let alone a game. It's like they are trying to save him for later in the season.

As for Cardale, yea, he's not gonna be a first round pick unless things change quickly for him. I don't know if he's made a quick decision all year.

That's exactly what they're doing.

Offense has looked like pure shit the last two weeks

You would think, listening to the commentators, that NIU was just plowing over us in the run game...dudes averaging like 3 a carry

That last drive was evidence of my point. JT undrethrew the receiver three times (all completions), had a good run, and one terrible pass. But we moved the ball better than we have all day with Cardale. JT is not necessarily the better QB -- in fact I think he is significantly worse in certain measurables -- but he is much better with this dink-and-dunk offense than Cardale is. If the offense won't change depending on QB than JT is a better choice. If the coordinators/coaches could do the same thing we did the last three games last year than it is Cardale.
