IMO, we need to reevaluate our scouting and should bring it a guy like Matt Lloyd. Or at the least someone from the John Hammond tree.

Not saying our scouts have done terrible (I would give them an overall C+) but it's definitely an area the organization could stand to see improvement in.

I don't think that's a very good strategy at all. You draft the developmental player now so that in a year or two they are ready to contribute when you need them, assuming of course that the GM sees a player he likes.

In a perfect world yes. But if we keep the team together we have plenty of young pieces. From a cap perspective it makes sense to push off a year.

Depending on how things play out tonight the Sixers could have 3 of the 1st 11 picks.

For that to happen they would need someone behind the Heat to jump into the top 3, and they would need 2 teams behind the Lakers to jump them.

Most likely they are only walking away with their 1st and the entire 2nd round, but the possibility does exist.

I have two main principles in play when it comes to this years lottery.

1. Fuck the Lakers(I'm in LA so I'm loving their misery)
2. Fuck the Heat(No explanation necessary)

With that in mind, and with no particular love towards the teams that jump into the top 3, this is what I'd love to see happen.

Utah leaps up to the #3 pick
Sacramento leaps up to the #1 pick.

Lakers lose their top 5 pick(#6 goes from the Lakers to the Sixers
Heat lose pick 10(#11 goes to........the Sixers)

Yes I am rewarding the Sixers(they end up with 5, 6, and 11) but who cares. Lakers get screwed. Heat get screwed.
