2016 Browns Mock Draft Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
http://draftbreakdown.com/video/jared-goff-vs-stanford-2015/

-Must watch film of Goff vs Stanford. The team around him is very poor as evidenced by two touchdown drops, but he looks like a first class prospect to me in this game.

Draft breakdown is a great site to watch game films of NFL draft prospects. After watching a few of Goff vs Lynch, it's clear Goff is far superior in terms of finesse at the quarterback position. Lynch has all the physical tools, but his offense is almost always one read so it's hard to truly gauge his football IQ.

This really is worth the time to watch. David Shaw of Stanford is qualified to be a decent NFL defensive coordinator or head coach right now, and you can tell he pulls out some very unorthodox blitz packages to confuse Goff. The whole game, I saw about 3-4 poorly thrown balls, but the problem is obviously receivers and linemen who are inconsistent and frazzled by an elite defense. This is an accurate look at why Goff is being compared to a younger Aaron Rodgers. There's a ton of shotgun formation in this game, but I think that is just because of Stanford's blitzing defense. Goff has played other games under center 70% of the time.

I heard he allegedly went to a party and pissed in people's open sunroofs.

Lol @ people getting bent out of shape about that Cook girls comment.

Didn't Pettines daughter say something about Cleveland before he was hired?

I think it was something along the lines of "hey it's the Browns but still cool"

I dont dislike cook for what he said to his family, he really isnt wrong, QB's do come here to die.

I dont like Cook becuase of his skill set and is not well liked by his teammates. That is a huge issue.

And look how that turned out!!

Cleveland is cursed, they've been turned Johnny Football into a problem

Only in Cleveland!!!

QBs don't come here to die, they just suck to begin with and it's easier to pass the blame than it is to accept responsibility for their own suckage.

Couch was good and his career was ruined by Cleveland. Then there is a bunch who looked allot worse here than other places, although none were world class by any means. (Delhomme, Detmer, Garcia, Campbell, Dilfer, etc)

Couch was def better then what we have now. But, he was not a top 15 NFL at any point. Even after the Browns dumped him and he was 100 percent healthy he was never good enough to start on another team, despite still being fairly young. His arm strength in windy games was a distinct weakness. I attended many Tim Couch games in person, and he def had limitations that to me made him a average QB, who should have have been a second round pick if scouted properly. He had a lot of guts an I give him credit for having a respectable career (if you forgot about the fact that he was a number 1 pick) but he had average tools as a QB. The Browns did not do him any favors with a below average O line, but lets not pretend that if he were drafted by Pittsburgh that he would have been Ben Rothlesburger

I personally believe if drafted by the right organization he could have been a Ben Rothlisburger level B. He is the only one of the entire bunch of 20+ qb's i believe that about though.

And i know its an opinion that has no way of being proven, but he was really good and did help take us to a playoff (along with a backup), but he showed signs until he got punch drunk.
