As soon as he wrote this sentence, he should've gone back and changed our pick. There is no "but" that comes after that statement. If you're in position to take a QB and there's one with a reasonably high grade (he has Goff going #5), you take him.

Doubt the validity but Cook's douchiness is well documented even back to his high school days from several people I know who went to school with him - possibly to the Brady Quinn echelon of douche. People don't change, not that fast.

And if the quote is true, remember that Jim Kelly was openly pissed that Buffalo drafted him. We know how that played out. We always see these draftees saying the right things on TV but I can guarantee you ~50% of them are unhappy with the team/city they're being relocated to.

He might get straightened out in an NFL locker room but at no point in his career will he be a favorite teammate or a guy that a team rallies behind.

-Must watch film of Goff vs Stanford. The team around him is very poor as evidenced by two touchdown drops, but he looks like a first class prospect to me in this game.

Draft breakdown is a great site to watch game films of NFL draft prospects. After watching a few of Goff vs Lynch, it's clear Goff is far superior in terms of finesse at the quarterback position. Lynch has all the physical tools, but his offense is almost always one read so it's hard to truly gauge his football IQ.

Someone on the radio mentioned hearing this the other day. I think it was Baskin & Phelps. It really doesn't matter though because he isn't better than Lynch or Goff.
