2016 Draft Prospects Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Just catching up on this thread.....

He was a total ass in high school, this according to some friends that used to coach him. I know that doesn't mean much, most of us were immature idiots in high school, but I guess he was especially hard on some of the players that he didn't feel were on his level. He was just a bully/asshole, especially later in his career and it rubbed some his teammates and coaches the wrong way.

I don't know if this stuff has anything to do with him not being named captain or not, but it wouldn't surprise me after some of the stories that I have heard.

That stuff aside, I'd imagine a NFL locker room and some veterans would straighten him out in a hurry.

I've heard the same... that he's a cocky jerk who some coaches and teammates just don't like, which is why they still haven't voted him as captain even though he's a 3 year starter. I don't know that veterans will straighten him out either... they're just as likely to not put up with his BS and write him off. People said the same about RGIII when he was pissing off the locker room and instead that situation just about turned into a mutiny.

I don't know... it's hard enough projecting a guy to the NFL based on ability let alone one with some striking character flaws. I'd rather we focus on Goff and Lynch instead.

Jags - Stanley
Chargers - Nkemdiche
Texans - GOFF
BROWNS - LYNCH
(best part about it is the explanation)

"The Browns weren't in position to draft a quarterback in my previous mock, but they definitely are now - and it definitely helps that there currently appear to be three top-10 signal-caller prospects again in the wake of Paxton Lynch's amazing season.

We haven't spoken to our NFL sources about Lynch yet, but unless he struggles to close out the year, I have to believe that he'll grade out as a top-10 prospect. Even if he doesn't, teams get desperate and reach for quarterbacks. The Browns obviously need one, as Johnny Manziel is an idiot who has no future (or present) in the NFL. "

Good night for some football.

Tyler Boyd - WR - Pitt
Quinshad Davis - WR - UNC
Ryan Switzer - WR - UNC

Landon Turner - OL - UNC

TCU vs. WVU:

Josh Doctson - WR - TCU
Joey Hunt - C - TCU

Daryl Worley - CB - WVU

Google 'Jeff George'

Josh Doctson is a first round pick. Might be the first WR off the board over Treadwell and Mike Thomas.

Looking like a strong year for wide receivers.

Doctson
Treadwell
Thomas
Tyler Boyd

All could end up in round one.

Adding to the depth the two kids from Lsu as early 2's and the kid from Baylor as an early 2. Hopefully our first rounder is spent on qb, and round 2 is wr or pass rusher.

Would love to get another big body WR to pair with Gordon.

Would be fucking fantastic if we didn't have to use ANOTHER 1st rounder on a QB, so we could end up taking Doctson or Treadwell.

Anyone taking a WR in round 1 is clueless. They only touch the ball half a dozen times a game.

Pass. (but not on the football field)

Depends on circumstance.

For this team, we need a QB and other positions in the worst possible way, so obviously no, taking a WR in round one is out of the question.

FWIW, Matt Miller said the word around NFL circles is that Lynch is highly unlikely to declare for the draft after this season.

Lets see if he says the same when he is projected top 5-10 in January.

Every time I watch Doctson, I see a superstar WR. There's just something about him that's really special.

Side note; Roger Lewis is the shit, and as a BG alum, even the minute thought he could enter this year is scary (three years removed from HS). Hope he stays and develops, because he's looking like a mega-star.
