2016 Draft Prospects Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Lynch isn't really 6'7, so it will probably work out.

In the short highlight compilation I watched it seemed like he had a tendency to throw high to receivers. Do you think that would be a problem with our group or am I just imagining that issue?

That's legitimate IMO, he definitely needs to work on hitting guys in motion a bit better. To the point where they have the best opportunity to not break stride and continue their momentum.

Even if the benching does happen, I don't think Gabbert is gonna last very long behind that O-line, not with him being the statue he is. Kaep will probably be back before this is over either way

They lost Iupati and Martin and tried to make a solid left side with Alex Boone and Staley together, leaving the right side to be a turnstyle. Martin, the starting center was a third rounder who looks like a backup. They could fill the right side this offseason easily enough.

I've seen the 49ers try to keep tight ends and backs in to protect the right side, but then Kaepernick makes bad decisions and their ancient receiving corps can't get open against double coverage. They are in a bad place, probably worse than the Browns in many ways.

Mark December 13th on your schedule.

It's going to be a tank-off.
That is a must lose game for sure. I am a bit worried we will beat the Ravens at home on Monday night as well.

I was banking on that line to be terrible when I made a wager on better record between the Browns and 49ers

This may mean absolutely nothing but it's noteworthy at least.

Here are the list of QBs to play in the NFL since 1920 that were 6'7 or taller

6'7
Mike Glennon
Brock Osweiler
Andrew Gardner
Sonny Gibbs
Frank Patrick
Garrett Reynolds

6'8
Dan McGwire (Yes Mark's brother)
David Foucault

McGwire was the 16th pick in the draft in 1991 and was out of the league after 1995
Sonny Gibbs was 18th overall (2nd round) in 1964 he played 1 season
Osweiler was a 2nd rounder (57th overall)
Glennon was a 3rd (73rd overall)

Again, not saying it means anything for Lynch but 6'7 and taller QBs have a bad track record.

Let me tell you something: I have been scouting Lynch for at least 4 weeks, and the dude used to be a running back until 9th grade. What you get is an athlete who now passes first, but he isn't some sort of goofy tall sap.

He's closer to 6'6". So pretty much as tall as Flacco. Does Flacco look like Yao Ming out there? No.

And with his quick feet, ability to get out of pocket (but that isn't his first instinct), he's the Browns' man.

Lynch or Goff and I will be a happy guy.

Another team we may have to fight with for a QB.

Lynch and Goff back to back tonight on ESPN 2 starting at 7 PM EST

I think Doctson may have just broken his wrist. Hopefully it's nothing too bad...

I'll be watching that Memphis Navy game the whole way through, so I'll post observations here afterwards.

Mids will probably get crushed, though.

Sounds like that's exactly what happened.

If it's for the greater good of his stock falling, I'll survive.

My Paxton Lynch man crush is so overwhelming. Effortless pocket movement.

This is the first I've seen him, but he's running a spread offense against generally second tier talent. Everything I've seen so far is him throwing to his first read.

Love watching the triple option. Navy runs that flexbone that makes it more confusing for defenses.
