It's like, what else do we do? Vote Republican? Ugh.
Right.
I can't see myself voting for a Republican; so Clinton is the only choice left.

Wonder if Walker got a deal to be someone's VP.
I wonder if Carson's "muslim president" comments will bring any serious consequence. I hope not. I know nobody is defending him though, not even any of the Republicans. Not even Huckabee or Cruz.
Carson is a very methodical guy though so I'm sure this was a calculated risk of some sort. I think he just needed to get some publicity and this probably won him over more voters more than it hurt him. He got his name out a little more.
I guess the point is that it is a shot at Obama partly. If Trump said something like that, it wouldn't be news at all because he has said much crazier things and done much worse. I think people are a little overly sensitive about it though. It's just a statement. He didn't say he hates anybody. Maybe the media is just trying to make it a big deal because I haven't seen anyone honestly offended about it. The news is trying to make people offended. To me, Carson has always been a guy that's said some off the wall shit, which is very counter to his obvious high intellect. I just don't think though that he's got the politician gene in him, so I wouldn't be surprised if this is just how he feels. I guess his staff could have suggested though that he should go after the Trump crowd with a statement like that (it's quite scary, imo, that xenophobia is politically expedient but i guess that's just where we are right now).
This is an example of exactly the kind of post that divides and adds nothing to the conversation. Just an bitter tirade of divisiveness. The best part about this post is seeing who "likes" it and knowing what all of the debate is about.
There's really no point in going through the exercise with most of you. I don't vote along party lines, and I have no vested interest in making it harder for all of the "victims" out there, who are apparently poor people that "these guys" don't want voting.
I specifically mentioned earlier that this had nothing to do with my side of the debate, simply to sequester the talk away from this subject, but it was inevitable.

It's a remarkably offensive thing to say.
I'm not sure what you mean by "I haven't seen anyone honestly offended about it."
He literally goes on to say that a Muslim politician, who adheres to Islam, should not be President. That is bigoted and ignorant.
p.s.
I'm not sure how it's a shot at Obama?

Not that I really want to get into it, but I think that is why he said it. For the reason that a Muslim would go against our constitution because of their religious beliefs, inferring they hold that above the constitution. I know Carson isn't a malicious guy and didn't mean it in a malicious way. I guess anybody can take it how they want. I heard him say beliefs should matter if they are inconsistent with the values of America, so that is why he said it. So he is actually promoting the Constitution.Personally that's the disappointing thing about Carson. He's clearly a very intelligent person, but what he said is not only an incredibly stupid thing to say, it goes against the US Constitution.

If someone thinks he shouldn't be president because he has that viewpoint, go ahead I guess. I don't see anything wrong with it. He should be allowed an opinion too. That is all I'll say about it.
