Yeah i would agree.. keep it unless Lebron does the unthinkable and signs an extention during the Season and commits longterm.. then you could consider Trading the Pick for a guy like AD. Then again.. Bagley,Ayton and Bamba all the the Potential to be as good as AD.. or even Better..in Bagley's case

Since we got the Brooklyn pick unprotected, this means we could trade away our own 2018 first round pick. Ante Zizic and Crowder seem like good replacements for Shump and Frye. Does a Melo deal happen now with Shump, Frye, our 1st round pick and Cedi?
 
The 2018 nets pick is literally the best non-player asset in the NBA. To get that while getting a comparable replacement for Kyrie at least for next season, a two way wing with one of the best contracts in the NBA that runs for several more years, and a promising young center in Zizic is an amazing return for a disgruntled star that everyone in the NBA knew wanted out. Altman and company really earned their paychecks IMO.

The Celtics made out well too, grabbing a young star on the rise for a player who they wouldn't be able to retain after next year and just a few of their many assets. Think it's a win-win trade that sets up an extremely intriguing opening night and playoffs.
 
Does anyone know if that pick is unprotected??! Heart can't take it.

Now turn around and get the best God damn star you can with that Brooklyn pick. And no, I don't mean Carmelo

Then if we can get a disgruntled star with that BKN pick. Let's say that we had that pick for weeks. That pick easily gets us George and I think it would've given us a punchers chance at getting Butler.

Yeah. That's significantly better than what we trotted out last year. Now we just have to be patient and wait for a star to become available and we've got a big 4.
