2019 Minor League Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
He currently goes oppo a ton, and hits ground balls/line drives at a much higher rate than fly balls.

At Lake County he was able to power a lot of balls out to the opposite field. I believe I recall @AZ_ saying that almost all of his HR were to CF or LF.

Yep, and Lynchburg isn't exactly a haven for that.

Lynchburg's ballpark is 10 feet shorter to center vs Lake County. Left and Right only 5 feet further.

Was just going by Park Factor, which drives a pretty stark contrast.

Lake County HR: 1.399
Lynchburg HR: .807

Could be a number of factors at play there, including the rise in level.

But just interesting where Lynchburg ranks pretty close to the bottom for hitters parks with regard to HR.

Should be at Akron mid-year based off current production and the organization's typical promotion pattern

Actually I think with the injury to Kluber, this may put Morgan to AA, since in house, we may see a Plesac to AAA to replace whoever ends up in Cleveland.

Not sure who exactly will get the promotion for the Chicago series, if we go from in house, but we will make a move before the 7th regardless.

Eli Morgan will be in Akron by midseason. He's too good for the Carolina League.

Sorry hit the wrong one the first time!

Feels like the injuries to Kluber, Clev and Plutko still hurt will cause a shuffle of our pitchers in the minors, I feel Morgan will end up at AA cause of it, if we stay in house.

So, you agree with me that Morgan will be in Akron by midseason?

I don't think we have a difference of opinions on this.

Morgan is one of the underrated prospects in the organization without a doubt. I actually wouldn't be surprised if he gets a couple starts at AAA by the end of the season, so I have never disagreed with you on that since I am pretty sure I have said before he would be at AA sometime this season (pretty positive I said it in the 2018 thread).

I was really trying to get a conversation from ya about who you think will get the big league spot since Kluber went down and who will get moved around. Trying to get everyone's take on our depth chart since we now have 4-5 guys out (Kluber, Clev, Plutko, McKenzie, and technically Civale too). I don't know much about Plesac, who may end up with a AAA promotion, etc.

We just have to figure how to make due with who we have. Who do you expect to get moved to the big league club?

I think we're looking at Rodriguez and Anderson as first ups, although if Anderson can't be stretched out quickly enough Wojiwhatsisname could get s shot first.
