Getting a bit underwhelmed here, boys…

Turning to Dre'Mont is a fine plan B after striking out on Hargrave. We as fans may want to see a tackle who is more of a space eater and run stopper, but it looks like Berry is prioritizing elite pass rush and youth over stopping the run. DreMont is the player I always pictured Perrion Winfrey developing into as a high end comp. Securing both certainly puts the three tech in good hands, but a one tech was sorely lacking last season.

If it makes you feel better there is still a ton of FA talent out there. Dalvin Tomlinson, Fletcher Cox, Jessie Bates, Jordan Poyer, Marcus Davenport, Bobby Wagner, Frank Clark, Khalil Mack, etc... and TONS more names.

The longer it takes, the more the price goes down and the more these type of names (if that's what you're looking for) become affordable for us.

Great post. And you're right. Lots of players out there that could drastically improve the team.

PFF predicted 3/21
Spotrac predicted 4/29

So the Browns got Pocic back for a bit under expectations.
Guessing its an easy out in year three. Signing Bonus somewhere between 6-9M. 1st year cap number between 3-4M

I wish Jake were actually plugged in like MKC.

He's just reading off the best 1-tech and 3-tech still available.

I mean, I'd take it. I'd be ecstatic if we came away with Dalvin and Dre'Mont... I just don't think this means it's realistic outside of the "Berry spends at the position group his coach needs to execute their scheme" tradition.

Dalvin and Dre'Mont would certainly wash some of the Austin Hooper and John Johnson tastes out of my mouth.

Pocic's deal would put him at 13th in AAV for centers and that's before any of the other centers have signed.. So good chance it ends up being outside top-15 center AAV for 2023..

For comparison, Ted Karras got a 3 year, $18M deal ($5M GTD) from the Bengals last offseason... Karras was a year older and while had more consistent previous production, never reached the PFF grades Pocic did last year..

Overall, a fair value and good deal to keep Pocic..
