So it's now Wednesday. This week's game is obviously out of the question for an incoming QB. Next week's is a stretch too unless they bring someone in literally by like tomorrow.

Are Carson Wentz, Colt McCoy or Joe Flacco trying to learn a new offense in 3 days going to be better than PJ Walker?
(Laughs in Rams Baker Mayfield)

Just checked out team defense stats on Pro Football Feference, and looked up "average opponent yards per drive", which I think is a great metric.

The NFL average is 30.0 yards. Second place team is Baltimore at 22.4.

Browns are at a ridiculous 15.6. Bigger gap between Browns and the second-place Ravens, than the Ravens and the 11th place Eagles.

Another stat - avg. number of opponent plays per drive. League average is 6.0 opponent plays per drive. Second place team is the Saints at 5.3.

Browns are at 4.2. You get 4 freaking downs automatically!

Just nuts.

I don’t like the down playing of Minshew and the Colts. Not one bit. It’s like people haven’t paid attention for the last 20+ years. Insane
I agree to an extent, but we also haven't had a historic defense like this in the past 20+ years.

numbers say nobody has! It’s wild right now.

Switching gears, Walker played OK, sort of, but he did have to take those chances in order for us to even stay in the game bc the Niners are stout on D too. What I am getting at is the Colts aren’t that squad, so I think he should just start and we will alter the game plan a bit and clean up penalties and he won’t have to do so much this game.
I think we should expect that he will get better and play better with another week under his belt, and going through the game tape.

So DPJ.................

I suggested that we trade DPJ for an upgrade at WR, to TEN for Hopkins or to LVR for Adams if we're thinking big.

I'd also consider moving DPJ with his extension looming to recoup a draft pick or for some RB help.

I do think that there's teams out there that could really use DPJ. CAR has been looking for a WR but they don't really have any pieces I want. There's a team out there that DPJ can get a larger role with and we can get a pick or a player who can help this season.

I don't think you're getting back much for DPJ so I don't think it's worth exploring unless a WR is coming back

Otherwise you're an injury to Cooper or Moore away from David Bell and Cedric Tillman being your WR2 and WR3

13 targets the week after, both losses by the way. He's complaining about the last two weeks where his team actually won both games lol.

Or he's complaining because he doesn't want to play in Josh McDaniels offense
