2023 NFL Draft - Day 2 - Rounds 2 & 3

Do Not Sell My Personal Information

Which position do the Browns take with their first pick on Day 2?

Did someone post what picks the Browns have today? I may have overlooked it.

Dawand 6’8 375 lbs + Bill Callahan???

That’s the stuff of nightmares for opposing teams.

Today I think they’ll strike for an EDGE and a Slot CB on the defensive side of the ball.

OL and RB offensively.

3 of the 4 so far with 2 picks left to take a RB

Yup.

Gonna be interesting to poke around and find out why he fell. That much of a plummet is more than online vs nfl. There has to be some "third third" stuff.

If he's fine, it's an incredible steal.

Turns out, issues of desire and dedication. Stopped testing after day 1 of senior bowl, maybe fear is he eats himself out of the league.

Man, hard to criticize the Browns getting DTR in the 5th when Sean Clifford is going off the board anywhere.

Very few draftable QBs this year, definitely okay with taking the shot on DTR as opposed to Clifford or Aiden O’Connell.

I think the knee-jerk reaction of the people just getting into the draft now is weird. I wasn't expecting it.

But, those of us who have been following, or participated in the mock, or even listening to the rumors that the Browns had interest in DTR knew he was possible.

I didn't think we'd draft him... because I didn't think he'd be around this late.

I had DTR and Hooker as 3rd/4th round grades, Aidan O'Connell as a fifth round grade, then figured I'd be okay throwing a dart at someone like Duggan or Bennett in the seventh.

Love how PFF is getting hung out to dry on some of their players that the scouting community didn't like. Tanner McKee was inside their top 40 for a long time. DeWayne McBride was inside their top 100.

Well we will have to see how PFF grades have been doing... Do you happen to have PFFs top prospects from the last few seasons?

All of Dawand Jones' red flags are the same I heard about Orlando Brown Jr when we needed a left tackle. At some point, the guy who is born into an ideal tackle body and has incredible college production doesn't need to be a perfect fitness model.

Nope.

They're a great tool. They aren't gospel, and there are some areas and individuals they get exposed on.

For example, did DeWayne McBride play well at UAB? Yeah. But also what's his competition and how will his ability translate to the NFL?

They didn't really take that into account when they put him at like 87 overall.
