A Closer Look at Anthony ^--^ Davis

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Btw, I never said my opinion was gospel. But I think some people are setting themselves up for disappointment. A hustle player SF is projected to go #2.
Mkg is one the best defenders, rebounders, transition scorers, and athletes at the sf position. His attitude certainly is a bonus, and because of it I wouldn't be surprised if he's a multiple time all star.

Yeah, dude is a WORK HORSE.

He's going to go out and give it 100% every single night, and he's going to work as hard as he can on his way to the top. You can bet on that.

Re: The Anthony ^--^ Davis Thread

Eh. He is going to look good in Bobcats colors.

Are people forgetting that the Cavs actually had SHITTY luck in the lottery last year? It was the Clippers that won that pick, and it was the Cavs that, despite the 2nd worst record, completely missed the top 3 picks. IE, the worst possible outcome for the Cavs' own pick, which is the only one they have in this draft. The Cavs aren't getting into the top 3, and I wouldn't be surprised, based on past history, if they end up a slot or two down. Instead of Anthony Davis unibrow dreams, I suggest getting your Lamond Murray Jr. avatars ready.

So, you're saying the Cavs had shitty luck by having the worst record in the league last season... then go on to say Davis will look good in the colors of the team with the worst record this season....?

The Cavs were second to the T-Wolves last year.

Re: A closer look at Bradley Beal

Unless we get the number 1 pick, I'm not sure we're dead set on any one guy. I'm not even sure Davis is going to be the best player in this draft. He's kind of skinny and I don't know if he'll turn in to a beast.

Quoted as weighing 214 lbs? Going to be hard to put on 30lbs of muscle mass to be able to compete at the 5. Javale Mcgee weighs 251lbs and looks small compared to Bynum 285.

Re: A closer look at Bradley Beal

214? really, skinnier than I thought.

For some reason I remember Cal saying something about he'd be a 3 in the NBA anyway and I just laughed it off. He doesn't have that kind of ball handling ability does he? Why would Cal say he should play wing?

That's outdated information. At the beginning of the season, Davis officially weighed in at 220 lbs. Unofficially, he definitely put on at least some weight since the 220 lbs measurement over the course of this past season. It didn't look like much, but I'd estimate him at 225 or so. He might also be working to put on weight as we speak. It is the offseason afterall. I wouldn't be one bit surprised if Davis weighed in at 240 on draft night if he puts in the work. 15 lbs is nothing to a guy of his size, and, quite frankly, so is 30 lbs.

Most likely due to his prior background as a Pg/SG when he was 6'1 Freshman,Soph year in highschool. He had good handles.

How about this for the first pick in the draft.

A.Davis to play the 5 for the Olympic Team.

Just hook him up with LeBron's HGH guy and he'll be fine.

That's awesome, and I'm happy for him, but Laetner played on the dream team. Like I said, he's far from a sure thing in my eyes. I think he'll be good, but I can't say with absolute certainty that he'll be a franchise player

Re: A closer look at Bradley Beal

For some athletes putting on weight can either be tremendously difficult or a hinderance if they do. It's not so simple to say, "ya, put on 30lbs and go play C." Could he? I don't know, it's possible. It looks as if his frame could handle it. However, that's assuming he's even capable.

Just to clarify... Davis isn't technically on the US Olympic team. He is on the Select team, which is usually comprised of young NBA players and guys just coming out of college. Basically, it is the scout squad for Team USA. Kyrie is also on the Select team, as is Wall, Cousins and Harden. I think those are the only five guys that have been announced thus far. There are 14 slots on the Select team.
