A Closer Look at Anthony ^--^ Davis

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Re: A Closer Look at Anthony Davis

stop referring to davis as a center, he is a power forward.

Did I, or did I not say that I believe Anthony Davis has the frame that he can put enough weight on to be a Center in this league?

EDIT: And not sure about the above post, because the guy starts at C for his team so......

Re: A Closer Look at Anthony Davis

It makes ZERO sense to trade a 20 year old pg who is putting up the numbers he is for another #1 pick. How do you expect to make any progress with that kind of mindset? Ok say we trade Kyrie for Davis, that just further extends the rebuilding process. I think Anthony Davis is going to be one hell of player, but not worth trading Kyrie for. Kyrie has already shown flashes of being a superstar type of player. And I don't even disagree about your stance on point guards. But that doesn't mean we should trade a PG with the kind of talent Kyrie has for another player. You keep your star player and do your best to add another. Your way of building will get you nowhere fast. Are you going to offer Anthony Davis for the next #1 pick that comes out? And are you also aware that Anthony Davis isn't a center? At least not at this point. And if you don't like what I have to say, than put me on ignore. But you got a lot of nerve to say "i make stupid ass comments" when you just tried explaining why trading Kyrie for Davis was a great idea. I never run away from a debate, and when im wrong, I eat crow for it. But calling my posts "stupid ass comments" is extremely hypocritical coming from you.

Dude, look at your response to my post. It was for me to drink bleach. So please with the "lot of nerve" stuff.

And there is a reason I said I would offer Kyrie but nothing else. You take Davis at number 1 and then with w/e pick the Cavs end up with you add his running mate. The same as we'll be doing with Kyrie this year.

The reason I've argued hypothetically for this (I know it's never going to happen and no one in power will ever entertain the idea) is because I'm that high on Davis. He looks like a new version of KG only with the possibility of adding more weight. Maybe he never does add enough weight to become a Center, but even then a dominant defensive PF can ahve a greater impact on the game than a PG.

Like I said, im always willing to give my opinion or debate. Boobie and some others pretty much said what already needed to be said. The bleach thing was more of joke than anything. Although, I can see how it would be rude, wasn't my intention to piss you off. I do post a lot of gifs, but I also have been giving my analysis on the draft all year with the rest of the guys. But I didn't agree with you basically stating all I do is post gifs and try to be the cool kid. I don't think anything I say is gospel or that my opinion is better than anyone else here. Nor do I try to be "cool" on an internet message board. But I do engage in debates here all the time, especially when it comes to the draft. And when im wrong, I eat crow. Which I did earlier for sticking up so much for Barnes. If you don't like my opinion or my gifs, thats fine. But im not some gimmick trying to be "the cool kid on the block".

Re: A Closer Look at Anthony Davis

One injury to irving and we will lose the rest of our games. I am hopeful of getting davis. I really like Drummond and Gilchrist as well as davis, and think they could very well be better anyway. Think this draft will sport multiple all stars. In todays nba the center position is hot garbage. mostly feature big power forwards at center. With davis' length he can surely play center.

If we do get the first pick it's pretty obvious Davis will go first as he has the best athleticism, leads the best team in the nation, and has shown improvement through out the year. He has a skill set the cavs seem to covet. I think draftexpress' recent up date is pretty acurate as to how the draft will go. if you want a serious prospect you have to get into the top 3 picks. After that I'm not sure you are drafting prospects that can play both sides of the ball.

Re: A Closer Look at Anthony Davis

If we get Davis I will buzz my head down on the lowest clipper settings and post pics. (Been growing my hair for like a year).

Edit: I'll shave a #1 in it actually. Might be more suitable.

He should never shave his unibrow

Re: A Closer Look at Anthony Davis

wonder what davis' over/under career triple doubles would be set at..

I can see him impacting the game and getting double digits in rebounds, assists, blocks, points..

If we can somehow get this guy, we could be set...

If we get Davis, I'm willing to pay you a relatively decent salary to attend every Cavs home game with me, and provide color commentary for me. Only in Bill Waltons voice of course.

Throw it down, Anthony Davis! Throw it DOWN!

Something Bill Walton would day: "When I look at Anthony Davis, I see a player who reminds me of Charlie Brown. Relentless to pursue a ball that is righfully his. Good thing for Davis, he doesn't have the bitch Lucy trying to take it away from him".

Anything less than commentary like that would be a failure.

I love how he's embraced his unibrow and openly jokes about it. It's hilarious, and the best part is that I could wear a unibrow to a Cavs game and not feel mean about it. It wouldn't be frowned upon any more than wearing an Andy wig. If we sign Harden and draft Davis, I'd probably wear an Andy wig, a Davis unibrow, and a Harden beard all at once. :chuckles:
