I completely expect Beal to drop out of the top 5. I also completely expect the Cavs to pass on him if he's still there at #8. Some players rise in the tourney. Many of them fall in the workouts once the scouts hold them up to the measuring stick of NBA athleticism. Beal's going to have a tough time shining in the workouts.
As for draftsites, they sell hype. When I read a draft profile, I try to ignore the woulda-coulda-shoulda hype. When I do that with Beal's draft express profile, these phrases stand out: " lacks a degree of strength and explosiveness", "his perimeter shooting has been a disappointment", and "not oozing with upside". I just don't see the Cavs drafting that.
There is no chance the Cavs would leave him on the board at 8.
IMO he's squashed any doubts people had about his shooting in the past 2 weeks. Also, that strength and explosiveness was "in traffic." The article also says this, "While not possessing rim-rocking explosiveness, he's an extremely smooth and fluid athlete with excellent mobility."
and this, "Beal's ball-handling and playmaking skills appear to have improved significantly over the past year or so. Extremely effective in transition, Beal can create for himself and others in smooth and effortless fashion off the dribble with his ability to change speeds and put the ball on the floor with either hand."
and finally this, "Looking forward, Beal obviously has a very bright future ahead of him, as he already shows excellent fundamentals, a versatile skill-set, a high basketball IQ, and great maturity, despite the fact that he doesn't turn 19 till the day of the 2012 draft."
Here's another good report on him:

I usually agree with what you have to say on here, but I think you're way off in you assessment of Beal. Not trying to be a smart ass or anything, but have you actually watched him?
Most of us were already high on Beal going into March so these tournament games are just reinforcing our previous thoughts, this isn't some Kemba Walker situation.
