Andrew Wiggins

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I got Wiggins prime at about:

22ppg, 5rpg, 4apg on 46/35/78

with elite defense.

I figure that'd put him in the top 25 in the league, settling in somewhere in the middle of Jason Richardson and Tracy McGrady type production. I think that's probably pretty realistic for him.

Paired with elite defense and as a second option you'd be crazy not to want a guy like that.

then again, you'd also be crazy not to want one of the best stretch 4's in the history of the game.

I just saw Wiggins operate in the post and produce a kick out a pass for a Bundinger 3 in overtime.

It took Lebron about 5 years in the league to do what I saw.

I almost cried man...

Hooray, his 1 assist in the game!!!!

Going to be his biggest hurdle between being a sidekick or being the man.

Hard to get assists when you can't dribble with your head up or in anything but a straight line. He has 2nd or 3rd option written all over him, to me. That said, I think he'll be one of the better off ball guys in the league.

Well, without the overtime, he wouldn't even have had the one. Only took him 49 minutes to get it too. ;)

Let the hate flow

Not hate, it's a legit fact. One thing that is common among all of the superstars in the NBA is that they create for their teammates and make them better...honestly, that is arguably the most important characteristic about a star player. Shit, even Melo, noted for his ball-hogging and inability to get his teammates involved, has never posted an assist % as low as Wiggins is posting this year. It should be a real concern for people already projecting him to be an NBA superstar in here.

Lmao at thought of Kyrie Irving fans coming in here with the audacity to start bringing up assist

Yeah, seriously, the assist rate thing for a rookie playing SG/SF billed as Paul George 2.0 is mind-boggling.

Is it a concern? Yeah, but a minor one.

Wiggins is a guy who will excel at scoring in a variety of ways and defending multiple positions.

He's not likely to develop into a triple-threat player, and I don't think he has to to be considered a superstar.

Dear @qaws23

How can you disagree with posts that can be proven true:

Your blind loyalty to all things Wiggins is hurting your judgement on the difference between qualities of a superstar and qualities of a really good #2 option.

In the last 20 years, here are the top rookie wings by total win shares who have posted his current assist % or worse:

Not exactly good company there. I get you like Wiggins, but blindly rating posts as a disagree when people criticize Wiggins and providing 0 feedback as to why you disagree is a real bitch move.

Yeah, me and you have discussed this at length before. I still think Wiggins will be a very very good player, but not a superstar, mainly for what I have been bringing up. The poster you are supporting however seems to think he will be the best player in basketball in a few seasons.

And the Paul George comparison will make sense when he develops the playmaking skills Paul George developed. Until then, not seeing that comparison on the offensive side of the ball.

I'm not a Kyrie Irving fan. I'm a Cavs fan who enjoys basketball and has followed the game for quite sometime. Also, not wise to bring up Kyrie Irving, who, you know, creates for his teammates and makes them better...exactly what I said a superstar should do.

And if this is your way of discussing things on this board, I see why I have you on ignore.
