Andrew Wiggins

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I hope if the Cavs are trading wiggins, they either a) can't tell him for some random cba 30 day reason or b) he's lying about what they have told him. Seems shady if they are going to wait until the 23rd and then just discard him just like that without any communication

You think?

Wiggins will be included...

Maybe. Maybe not. There are definitely some other names out there in three and four team deals that avoid trading Wiggins. The Cavs clearly prefer keeping him if they can figure it out. I wouldn't be surprised either way, but there are non-Wiggins scenarios in discussions with the Timberwolves for sure. They all just involve more moving parts and extra teams. If other teams are involved, chances are good that Wiggins is not traded. If it's just Cleveland and Minnesota, Wiggins will most certainly be traded - though Bennett may not be a certainty. They actually like the idea of Tristan Thompson next to Pekovic or Dieng.

It's weird. I remember one poster telling us about that conference at the Q for season ticket holders where Griffin told everyone how he was trying to create a sort of family out of this Cavs team, where everyone respected one another and nobody would want to leave. Did LBJ coming back make him just throw that out the window or was he BSing through his teeth because they way they're treating Wiggins has left me unsure.

If he knows he's being talked about, he may be able to say something. The teams can't say a word or make any formal announcements. I take how he is acting as a show that he knows he might be traded and the Cavs have informed him. I still don't think anything is definite. The Cavs are holding off any official offer including Wiggins until all other alternatives have been exhausted and August 23rd comes.

I think Gilbert may be the one throwing it out and pushing for Love. Maybe not. Getting LeBron certainly put them into "push for a title" mode - and I can't really blame them. There is a bit of a risk involved if Love is just saying he wants to go to Cleveland as a means of leaving Minnesota. I don't think that's the case. They see Love as a way to go into the stratosphere quickly. The injury to George further opens the window.

This shit is so sad. He's a good kid in a very awkward situation . I wish we wouldve drafted and traded that fat asshole Parker instead

Post like this are hilarious. What good kid have to do with the business side of the NBA? I don't get the whole feeling sorry thing. His dreams are still going to come true, but with another team.

I mean just look at that beautiful face... now imagine it 2 shades lighter after being in the winter wonderland known as Minnesota

why do Cavs trust that Love will sign? That is bad business. Remember what Boozer did when Lebron was younger? How can they take such a gamble after so many things went wrong before?

Other than the fact that they can offer him more money, more years, and a better chance at title contention than any other team that can outright sign him, I'd say the odds are stacked against them...

Why is it that wanting to see the #1 pick play on our team with Lebron is crazy? What if some of us think Wiggins is our long term 3 and Lebron is our long term 4? Kid has huge potential, and is there any better mentor to get him there?

I personally think that Wiggins is going to increase in value. I think that Bennett is going to increase in value. I think Love is going to decrease in value as the season goes on. It's not weird to think that way. That is the way I have seen all of these scenarios play out in the past. If Wiggins is in the trade, the Cavs are only bidding against themselves.

Harden agreed to a sign and trade, but we are getting less of a commitment from Love, and giving up a much greater haul. Makes no sense.

Does anyone know, if LBJ has ever even contacted Wiggins?

The NBA does not have unlimited cap space. 3 max players with 2 often injured and not known for their defense and a bunch of scraps does not create championships when playing against the west. Why are they taking the Miami approach knowing it is not sustainable with 2 of the top 3 not know for defense.

thank you my friend. my goodness there is someone not fallen under the spell of love cast by wizard from the cold north flip saunders. I can't believe people are now downplaying Andrew Wiggins because they want love so bad as if it's a guarantee that they will win. This team is not better than the early Heat that Lebron Joined and they barely escaped with 2. I guess 1 is enough to some. I just have a bad bad feeling though that this might end up on BSPN after next season as " The Trade" or something just to step on Cleveland. I'm from China but i love Cleveland sports dearly. I didn't follow Lebron when he left but he brought me to start watching Cavs. It seems some people are just too in love with the now that they don't see the danger in it.
