I mean... most of the things you suggest as positives aren't real. Unmovable force in the post? Soft shooting touch? He has proven to be an absolutely terrible shooter as Douglar mentioned. Defensively he is one of the worst players I have ever seen for his position.
You keep saying "people look at the stats" I couldn't give 1 shit about his stats, in fact I don't even mention them.
I use the eye test. He fails the eye test worse than any player I have seen in the last decade.
You say the nay-sayers focus on stats. Why dont you focus on the fact that he is never in position, that he shoots mindless shots, that he has no basketball IQ, and that he is lazy and undersized? You say he is a shooter, he has never shown that he can hit an outside shot, you say he is great in the post defensively - the eye test says he is one of the worst defensive players in recent memory. You sir, are crazy.

Playing with Dieng in the 2nd unit is probably the best guy to help cover up his own holes on defense.
Consistency, consistency, consistency. He lacked that emotionally, game-by-game, and shooting the ball. Bennett strikes me as someone that needs to be around veterans and in a structured system that can easily find a place to fit him in. Alas, so do most young players.
Sacramento will be waiting to scoop him up if he's as disappointing as Derrick Williams.

I'm disappointed we won't get to see Bennett make his turnaround in Cleveland. I'll be rooting for him to have a long a prosperous career wherever he ends up, Minnesota and beyond. He's a good dude with a lot of talent. He'll never be good enough to validate some people's idea of a #1 pick, but I don't believe anyone from that draft class will.

AB dont look too happy
Besides the expectation of living up to his rookie contract or risk being let go and taking less money to play elsewhere (If he even gets another chance).
Bennett + pressure isn't a good equation as last year has shown us. The guy has as much talent as growing up he needs to do this year.

He got traded from a team that was going to be one of the best in the league to another disaster of an organization. Not only that, but he was basically just a throw-in to make the dollars work. I'd be pissed too.
