Almost as stupid as evaluating him on one bad pass, right?

Also, he's been back for 3 games, I gave him a pass on his first game after a 40 day absence due to injury. I'm just happy he's looking competent on an NBA floor, perhaps something he can build on.

I'm evaluating him on two horrible NBA seasons. Of which are borderline unprecedentedly bad for a number 1 pick. The guy makes Kwame Brown look good.

And I said he had a couple good games that he might be able to build on. I didn't evaluate him based on two games. Your straw man is weak.
 
I feel bad for him. The number one pick needs to play and we had a really misguided campaign to get to the playoffs when they weren't ready and the roster was a mess including vets with bad attitudes.

He didn't expect to go 1. should have traded for adams and lamb or taken oladipo. I dunno. Worst top of a draft class that I can remember. Noel doesn't fuck his knee up and ecerythingbis different.

That's certainly a fair point, as many of the gifs on here attest to.

However, I think they're are mental issues beyond effort that have attributed to his poor play.

When you have Mike Brown freaking out about defensive mistakes when most of your team plays garbage defense and Flip freaking out about shot selection when you're trying to tank, I could see how Bennett's confidence and ability to simply go out and play would basically got out the window.

But the guy let his body go and put on 35 pounds of fast food before Mike Brown coached him for one practice. I'll allow that Bennett had a shoulder injury, but its called the salad bar, and it's what a serious-minded athlete would have done rather than literally eating his rookie year.

I think his approach to the game screwed him up before any pro coach had a chance to do anything you are suggesting.

I was never enthusiastic about drafting Bennett, before, during or after that draft. Even if he kept the jump shot he had going at UNLV, there were too many defensive issues for me to get on board with his stretch 4 potential.
 
Very unique player... Has athleticism in tradition and can get hot from deep.... What a unique skill set and yet such a bust.
 
The hope was early career Larry Johnson. Now you're hoping late career Larry Johnson.

Or pre-transformation teen wolf.
