Avengers: Infinity War spoiler thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
My IBS fired up during the final battle scene... right after Thor showed up and started kicking some ass. I came back to see Thanos watching the sunset. So needless to say I still haven't seen the ending. :(

I saw it this weekend. It was off the chain. When Captain American made his first appearance out of that shadow the theater erupted with applause and cheers. It was surreal how you could feel how so many people watching these movies are emotionally invested in these characters. It was like when you watch 90's show like Family Matters and Steve Urkel makes his first appearance in the episode and the crowd just loses it.

I also just noticed that Cap and Tony never saw or spoke to each other during the whole film.

Thor killed it.

T'Challa seemed way more aggressive in this film than in BP. My wife was pissed off when he dusted out lol.

Ebony Maw is probably the ugliest character I've ever seen on the big screen but he has a really good porn star name lol.

Tom Holland is unquestionably the best Spiderman. His scene when he dusted out with Tony was very heavy. When he hugged him........man......I miss my dogg. "Mr Stark I don't wanna go".......fuuuuck

When Tony got stabbed there were gasp, people shouting nooooo, and a bunch of oh my god's. We all thought he was done. Not gonna lie I got a lil emotional cause it felt like he was done for real.

Vision got fucked up lololol. Got his ass beat basically the whole movie and all he wanted was a little more time wit his girl. The game is cold.

Chris Pratt had me cracking up. I wasn't a big GOTG fan when they first cam out but they have really won me over.

Thanos threw a whole ass moon at Tony.

Banner needs to get his shit together. Hulk looked like a sucker the whole movie.

Thanos got hands though lol. He was tearing Hulk up at the beginning. He looked like Undertaker when he wants to show off his UFC skills and act all agile and shit lol.

I expect to see Tony really unleash Ironman in Avengers 4. I know Spiderman dying in his arms messed him up.

I feel like Cap is a lock to die in Avengers 4. I could see a lot of the heroes who survived dying as the others come back.

Bucky didn't get enough screen time to just fade out like that.

I'm getting tired of Black Widow for real. Scar Jo is a bad bish but her character does nothing for me.

How far are we from getting X-men like fully involved?

Isn't Logan dead?

I mean, most of those people aren't truly dead though @Los216

Oh I know they're aren't dead and will likely be coming back but the impact was felt in the theater. I even had a dude accidently spoil it for me and say that Black Panther was gonna die the day before I saw it. It wasn't like how I thought he made it out to be. I think this movie was geared more towards people who have been watching the last 10 years. I got my wife all caught up on all the movies in the last few months before we went to see Black Panther but she was still mad when he perished lol

I was gonna take my kids but they would've been pissed off if they saw Spidey and Black Panther die. Like they might have had an outburst. In a way that guy spoiling part of it played a part in us not bringing them with us. They would've lost their collective shit :chuckle:

Honestly, this was my one gripe with the movie. Half the characters die and yet we know most of them aren't truly dead. And now we are left guessing who is and isn't truly dead. I've never seen a comic book in my life, haven't watched half the Marvel movies, and I knew these guys weren't truly dead. For me, that just takes some of the moment away from me. Like, why do I care that BP and Spiderman "died" when I know they aren't dead? It's just kinda dumb, IMO. I don't really fuck with the concept of changing history and bringing back dead characters, ESPECIALLY when you know with certainty that they will be brought back. But that is just a personal thing of mine.

What else am I supposed to think when people are disintegrating into nothing?

That Thanos accomplished his goal and now the heroes need to recover even though they’re short handed.

Do you really think the Russos want you think all your new favorite characters are dead and gone?

His goal was to wipe out half the population, right?

If we aren't supposed to think they're dead, what are we supposed to think?

Keywords "and gone".

They are currently deceased. By the end of Avengers 4, at least some of them will be back.

They’re gone for now, but you’re supposed to be thinking about how we’re going to get them back.

Bah. It’s like the third time we’ve seen Thor do that.

The Strange/Thanos battle was something we haven’t seen and an example of the full breadth of the mystical and cosmic powers in the MCU.

It’s nice to see something different.
