Georges is just tryna put a ring on it.
 
I really don't like this contract, but whatevs. He adds shooting, and the right coach will find out how to use him in a rotation that desperately needs a shooter or 3 like him. As it is, JBB will be benching him for the rest of his deal by March due to Niang's defense.

The minute JBB does this, fire his ass on the spot. We don't have time for this.

I think Niang’s saving grace is he at least tries and is aware on defense..

His defensive issues are purely physical (short, slow, not athletic) but he does hustle, is active and has some grit&grind..

JBB seems to take issue with guys who aren’t active or can’t process — neither of which seem to be an issue with Niang..

JBB doesn’t bench guys who are bad on defense; he benches guys who don’t try and make consistent mistakes on defense..
 
Seems like a good fit.
